Job Summary: We are seeking a recent graduate to join our team as a Production Engineer. In this entry-level role, you will support the optimization of sustainable cell production by assisting with production line setup, process specification alignment, and defect reduction initiatives. Under the guidance of senior engineers, you will gain hands-on experience with manufacturing equipment, contribute to quality improvements, and help minimize production downtime in a high-tech manufacturing environment. 

 

Responsibilities:

  • Support senior engineers in monitoring production performance, updating SOPs, implementing process updates, new products or equipment, and training operators on revised procedures.
  • Collect and evaluate data on OEE, yield, downtime and efficiency to identify trends, non-conformance and corrective actions. 
  • Participate in quality investigations and support data collection and conduct basic analysis for process optimization and improvement projects, including design of experiments (DOE).
  • Help document operational changes, maintain production records, and contribute to continuous improvement and lean initiatives.
  • Participate in routine trials and experiments involving new materials, equipment, or process changes, ensuring accurate execution and documentation of results.

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field.
  • Internship or co-op experience in a manufacturing or production setting is a plus.
  • Exposure to continuous improvement, lean manufacturing, Six Sigma or similar problem-solving methodologies.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word); experience with CAD, Minitab, or data analysis tools is a plus.
  • Willingness to work in a plant/production environment.
  • Must be able to use PPE and adhere to safety procedures.
  • Must be able to perform the following:
  • Ability to work occasional off-shift or weekend work as needed for trials or support.
