Position Summary:
The Culture & Engagement Specialist II plays a key role in developing, implementing, and managing programs that strengthen organizational culture, employee engagement, and workforce experience. This role partners with HR, leadership, and cross-functional teams to design initiatives that foster employee connection, recognition, inclusion, and alignment with company values.
The Specialist II is expected to independently manage engagement programs, collect and analyze feedback data, and recommend improvements that enhance employee satisfaction and organizational effectiveness.
Key Responsibilities
Culture & Engagement Programs
- Design, implement, and manage employee engagement initiatives aligned with company values and culture strategy.
- Lead programs such as new hire orientation, employee recognition, celebrating safety milestones and operational achievements, culture campaigns, engagement events, and employee appreciation initiatives.
- Coordinate company-wide culture and engagement activities including town halls, cultural celebrations, and employee events.
- Partner with operations leadership to reinforce organizational values and behaviors across teams and strengthen culture during periods of rapid workforce expansion and across shifts.
Employee Experience & Feedback
- Support employee engagement surveys and pulse surveys, including planning, communications, and participation strategies.
- Analyze survey results and employee feedback to identify trends and improvement opportunities.
- Develop action plans with HR and leadership to address engagement gaps and strengthen workplace culture.
Production Workforce Engagement
- Ensure engagement initiatives are accessible to hourly production employees and shift workers.
- Support shop-floor engagement activities such as listening sessions, recognition visits, and feedback forums.
- Work with frontline supervisors to promote participation in engagement programs.
Communication & Awareness
- Develop internal communications that promote engagement initiatives and reinforce company culture.
- Support site leadership communications including town halls, all-hands meetings, and culture messaging.
- Ensure clear and accessible communication for both office and production employees.
Recognition & Employee Programs
- Manage employee recognition programs and service milestone initiatives.
- Support onboarding and culture integration programs for new employees.
- Partner with HR Business Partners and managers to promote recognition and engagement best practices.
Program Management & Metrics
- Track program participation, engagement metrics, and cultural health indicators such as recognition participation, survey scores and retention trends.
- Prepare reports and presentations for HR leadership and senior management.
- Recommend program improvements based on data insights, employee feedback and operational needs.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work closely with Learning & Development, HR Business Partners, Corporate Services and EH&S teams.
- Support initiatives that contribute to an inclusive workplace culture.
- Participate in special projects related to employee experience and organizational development.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development, Communications, Business Administration, or related field.
- At minimum 3 years of experience in employee engagement, HR programs, internal communications, or organizational culture initiatives.
- Strong project management and organizational skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
- Experience analyzing employee survey data and engagement metrics.
- Ability to collaborate effectively across departments and organizational levels.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting culture or engagement programs in a manufacturing or operational environment.
- Experience crafting engaging communications to a wide audience of diverse occupations.
- Familiarity with HRIS systems and employee engagement survey platforms.
- Knowledge of change management and employee experience methodologies.
