About the role:
The Principal Technical TA Partner will scale the engineering and product teams that power Liberate’s AI platform. This senior IC role carries full cycle ownership, from defining roles with leaders to sourcing and closing candidates, while ensuring a high bar for talent and candidate experience.
The ideal candidate has deep experience hiring software engineers as a primary focus and product talent as a secondary focus. They are technically literate, strong in sourcing, and skilled at influencing hiring decisions with data and market insights.
Location: San Francisco (Berkeley) hybrid role, 2 days per week in-office
Key Responsibilities
- Partner with engineering and product leaders to define success profiles and hiring strategy
- Source and engage top software engineering talent, with product as a secondary focus
- Maintain a rigorous quality bar while driving efficient process execution
- Own end to end recruiting from intake to close and onboarding handoff
- Provide market intelligence on compensation, talent availability, and competitive dynamics
- Apply AI recruiting tools to expand reach and reduce cycle time
Qualifications:
Must Have:
- Significant in-house recruiting experience, typically 7+ years, including time spent at high-growth companies where you owned full-cycle hiring with a focus on technical roles such as software engineering and product
- Proven ability to deliver early hiring wins while maintaining a high bar for talent
- Executive-level presence and credibility to represent the company to senior candidates
- Hands-on sourcing capability combined with strong candidate closing skills
- Track record of building scalable recruiting processes in lean, fast-paced environments
Nice to Have:
- Experience hiring AI or ML specialists
- Hands-on experience with AI recruiting tools such as ChatGPT, Gemini, Juicebox, BrightHire
- Technical literacy to credibly engage senior engineers and product leaders
- Proven ability to design recruiting processes that scale with headcount growth
Compensation and Benefits:
- Base salary target range: $160,000 - 165,000 depending on experience
- Meaningful equity package
