About Us:
Liberis launched in the US in 2019, to bring our vision to US Merchants. We now have more than 6 partners across the US and Canada, with names like eBay among them!
We have had rapid growth since we launched in the US and are looking to further drive this - with the addition of a new Senior Product Manager role, based in our Atlanta office!
About the role:
As a Senior Product Manager, you will lead our MCA product line within the Revenue Based Finance product family. You'll have full ownership and P&L responsibility, leading a cross-functional team of engineers, analysts & designers to drive the commercial success of our MCA product!
What you will be doing:
- Own the P&L, roadmap, and goals for the MCA product, and be accountable for a clear set of business and product outcomes.
- Drive commercial performance through product innovation, pricing optimization and strategic segmentation of our MCA offerings.
- Work iteratively and collaboratively with engineering, risk, commercial teams, design, research, legal, compliance and external partners to refine your plan and execute against it effectively.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with senior stakeholders at external partners and clients, understanding their needs and translating them into product strategy.
- Conduct sophisticated data analysis to inform decisions on segmentation, pricing strategies, and risk performance - being self-sufficient in pulling insights from data.
- Track and monitor core metrics for your area, developing new metrics with the team to measure the success of your initiatives.
- Listen, learn, build, test. Make changes. Ship. Fast, iteratively, and in control.
Who you are:
- Lending & finance expertise. You have significant experience working in a lending context and understand the commercial dynamics of financial products. You're familiar with credit risk, underwriting, and the regulatory landscape that governs lending products.
- Commercially astute. You have very strong commercial acumen and instinctively think about revenue, margins, unit economics and profitability. You can build business cases, understand P&L dynamics, and make trade-offs that balance customer value with business outcomes.
- Data-driven and analytically rigorous. You have exceptional data analysis skills and are self-sufficient in exploring segmentation, pricing strategies, and risk performance. You're comfortable with SQL, advanced Excel/spreadsheet analysis, and data visualization tools. You don't wait for analysts - you dive into the data yourself.
- Senior stakeholder management. You have proven experience working with senior stakeholders at external partners or clients. You can navigate complex B2B relationships, understand partner needs, and translate them into product requirements while maintaining strong commercial discipline.
- Product focused. You have been involved in building products - names that we know - at scale with many users. You have opinions on great UX and enjoy discussions about how to best express a new feature or capability in the product. You are creative about various options for accomplishing customer & partner requests, and are decisive about which to pursue in cooperation with your engineering partner.
- Able to prioritize. You are able to coalesce input from various streams - customers (merchants), Partners (B2B - Sales & Account Management), marketing, industry, engineering - into a single crisp set of priorities. You understand the art of negotiation and trade-offs to optimize their requests.
- Execution driven. You are execution driven and realize that ideas unrealized do not further the business. You partner fluidly with engineering and commercial teams to optimize the time to market and launch of new business value. You enable others well so that they drive quick adoption of functionality to then iterate fast where necessary.
- Strategic sensibilities. Beyond what you are being told, you can see into the future based on signals coming in from industry, competitors and from your own imagination. You are comfortable mapping out a game plan that allows your products to be the best against industry rivals and relative to customer needs and desires. You strive to be ahead of the curve and operate with an eye on the horizon.
- Storytelling & communication. Communication is everything - particularly in a scaling & distributed, changing and hybrid org. You come with energy to create a continual presence for yourself, both in the eyes of the Engineering team and commercial stakeholders. You adjust your content to your audience naturally, bringing a story-telling approach to conversations. You are a leader, and build followership, provide necessary detail and generate excitement & enthusiasm in your communication style and content.
- Allergic to micro-management. You love working with others and enjoy collaboration but do not rely on it for direction. You are naturally proactive and become healthily frustrated if blocked, quick to figure a way out, or around it, yourself. You know the importance of keeping stakeholders informed and enjoy crafting updates so that buy-in for your work is high, without being asked.
What will bring:
- Experience of shipping world-class financial products which have had a significant business impact at a fast-growing company, ideally in lending, fintech or embedded finance.
- Proven track record of working in a lending context with understanding of credit products, risk decisioning and pricing approaches.
- Demonstrated commercial acumen with experience driving revenue growth, optimizing pricing, and managing product P&L.
- Advanced data analysis skills - proficiency in SQL, Excel/Google Sheets for complex analysis, and data visualization tools. Ability to independently analyze segmentation, pricing elasticity, and risk performance.
- Experience managing relationships with senior stakeholders at external partners, clients or B2B customers.
- Experience making hard data-informed decisions using tools such as A/B experimentation, user testing, data analysis, competitors and market analysis, defining metrics.
- Experience in different companies & contexts, building and shipping digital products together with teams of designers, engineers and data scientists.
