We are AI Native

We are building an AI native company where AI is an integral part of how we build and operate. AI tool usage during interviews varies by role. You may be asked to demonstrate proficiency with AI tools, discuss how you leverage AI, or complete interview exercises without AI assistance. Your Recruiter will provide clear guidance as you move through the interview process.

Undisclosed use of AI not previously discussed with or approved by your Recruiter may impact your candidacy.

About The Team

Life360’s FP&A team is small, senior, and closely connected to how the company operates. We don’t sit on the sidelines. Finance is in the room when decisions get made, and the work we produce is what leadership relies on to run the business.

The team is organized into three groups under the VP, Finance. Corporate Finance owns the enterprise planning cadence, consolidated reporting, and the materials that go to the board and investor relations support. Strategic Finance operates outside the regular cadence on longer-horizon work: strategic partnerships, internal decision-making analysis, M&A, and capital allocation. Business Finance is embedded inside each revenue and R&D vertical as dedicated partners. All three groups work from a single plan of record. The quality of what we deliver depends on how well we collaborate, and that expectation is built into how the structure operates.

About the Job

We’re looking for a Senior Director to lead Corporate Finance and take full ownership of Life360’s enterprise planning, consolidated reporting, and board-level financial materials. This is the role that makes sure the CFO, executive team, and board have what they need to make decisions: accurate numbers, clear analysis, and well-structured materials delivered on time, every time.

You’ll set the planning cadence for the function, define the reporting standards the other groups work against, and be the key driver behind Life360’s investor relations materials, coordinating across IR, Finance Data, Business Finance, and Strategic Finance to ensure everything comes together. This role is the connective tissue between what the business is doing and how that story gets told to leadership and investors.

This is a player-coach role. You lead the team, own the processes, and represent Corporate Finance in every room that counts. But this is a small team, and when something needs to get done, you do it. No egos. You’ll inherit an existing team and existing processes. Your job is to take what’s here and build it into something stronger.

You’ll manage two direct reports to start: a Senior Manager and a Senior Analyst. The team will grow as the function matures.

You don’t need to be an AI expert, but you should be curious and willing to adopt AI tools to work smarter. Our finance team uses Claude, Claude Code, and Claude Cowork today, and we want someone who’s genuinely interested in where that goes.

The US-based salary range for this position is 194k to 285k. We take into consideration an individual's background and experience in determining final salary - therefore, base pay offered may vary considerably depending on geographic location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The compensation package includes a wide range of medical, dental, vision, financial, and other benefits, as well as equity.

What You’ll Do

Planning and Forecasting

  • Drive the Long-Range Planning process: set the timeline, pull together inputs from Strategic Finance and Business Finance, build the consolidated enterprise view, and lead the discussions with the CFO and executive team around what the plan says and what it means.
  • Own the annual operating plan and monthly reforecast processes, coordinating inputs from Business Finance leads across Advertising, Subscriptions & Marketing, and Devices & Opex.
  • Manage the handover from the LRP into the annual plan. Make sure all three groups are aligned and the budget cycle starts from a clean position.
  • Own the planning calendar and the reporting standards, definitions, and timelines the function runs on.

Reporting and Analysis

  • Lead the monthly management reporting cycle: consolidation, variance analysis, and the executive narratives that explain what happened and why. The goal is a clear, accurate picture that leadership can act on.
  • Own the reporting templates and processes the CFO and executive team rely on for enterprise-wide and cross-vertical views.
  • Work directly with Business Finance leads to build monthly materials. You own the consolidated picture and are accountable for whether it tells the right story.
  • Provide corporate-level analysis of headcount, expenses, and revenue across the company.

Board, Earnings, and Investor Relations

  • Own production of the board pack and earnings materials: slides, data schedules, KPI exhibits, and supporting analyses.
  • Be the key driver of investor relations materials within the FP&A function, coordinating across Investor Relations, Finance Data & Systems, Business Finance, and Strategic Finance to bring everything together. Strategic Finance supports specific aspects of the IR process, but Corporate Finance leads the effort and ensures the materials are complete, accurate, and delivered on time.
  • Own dual-listing reporting across US (Nasdaq) and ASX.

Systems and Process

  • Own Pigment as the enterprise planning and consolidation platform: model architecture, configuration, and consolidation module.
  • Partner with Finance Data & Systems on integrations and technical infrastructure while keeping business ownership of the model logic and output.
  • Continuously look for ways to improve how Corporate Finance works, whether through better process design, smarter use of AI tools, or tighter collaboration across pillars.

Team

  • Lead and develop the Corporate Finance team. Set the bar for rigor, discipline, and communication quality.
  • Build a culture of ownership, collaboration, and continuous improvement. Be someone your team wants to learn from and your partners enjoy working with.
  • Become a trusted partner to the VP, Finance and the CFO on all things Corporate Finance.

What We’re Looking For

  • 12+ years of experience in corporate FP&A or finance, with progressive leadership responsibility.
  • You’ve led planning cycles, consolidated reporting, and board-level materials at a public company before. You know what good looks like and you hold yourself and your team to that standard.
  • A player-coach mentality. You lead the team and own the processes, but you’re equally willing to roll up your sleeves when the work demands it.
  • Experience driving a Long-Range Planning or multi-year planning process, including coordinating inputs across multiple teams and facilitating executive decision-making around the consolidated view.
  • Familiarity with enterprise planning platforms (Pigment, Anaplan, Adaptive, Planful, or similar) and the ability to own one from a business perspective.
  • Experience driving investor relations materials, earnings presentations, and board packs. You’ve been the person coordinating across multiple teams to get these done, not just contributing to a piece of them.
  • Strong communication skills. You can take something complicated and explain it clearly to senior leadership without losing the substance. You write well, present well, and know how to frame a decision.
  • Experience managing a small, high-performing team where every person carries real scope.
  • A collaborative, low-ego working style. You build strong relationships across finance and the business, give direct feedback with respect, and make the people around you better.
  • Curiosity about AI and a willingness to use it. You don’t need to be an expert, but you should have started exploring tools like Claude or ChatGPT and be motivated to keep learning. We’re building toward an AI-native finance function and want someone who’s excited about that.
  • Ideally from a consumer technology, subscription, or SaaS company with multiple revenue streams. Life360 generates revenue from subscriptions, advertising, and devices. Familiarity with that kind of complexity is valuable, though not required.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field, or equivalent experience.

Nice to Have

  • Hands-on experience using AI tools in a professional finance context.
  • Experience with Pigment specifically, including implementation or model build.
  • A track record of improving how FP&A processes work, whether through better systems, automation, or just smarter design.

Our Benefits

  • Competitive pay and benefits
  • Medical, dental, vision, life and disability insurance plans (100% paid for employees)
  • 401(k) plan with company matching program
  • Mental Wellness Program & Employee Assistance Program (EAP) for mental well-being
  • Flexible PTO, 13 company-wide days off throughout the year
  • Winter and Summer Weeklong Synchronized Company Shutdowns
  • Learning & Development programs
  • Equipment, tools, and reimbursement support for a productive remote environment
  • Free Life360 Platinum Membership for your preferred circle
  • Free Tile Products

Classification of protected categories is as follows:

A "disabled veteran" is one of the following: a veteran of the U.S. military, ground, naval or air service who is entitled to compensation (or who but for the receipt of military retired pay would be entitled to compensation) under laws administered by the Secretary of Veterans Affairs; or a person who was discharged or released from active duty because of a service-connected disability.

Form CC-305
OMB Control Number 1250-0005
Expires 04/30/2026

Why are you being asked to complete this form?

We are a federal contractor or subcontractor. The law requires us to provide equal employment opportunity to qualified people with disabilities. We have a goal of having at least 7% of our workers as people with disabilities. The law says we must measure our progress towards this goal. To do this, we must ask applicants and employees if they have a disability or have ever had one. People can become disabled, so we need to ask this question at least every five years.

Completing this form is voluntary, and we hope that you will choose to do so. Your answer is confidential. No one who makes hiring decisions will see it. Your decision to complete the form and your answer will not harm you in any way. If you want to learn more about the law or this form, visit the U.S. Department of Labor’s Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP) website at www.dol.gov/ofccp.
