We are AI Native

We are building an AI native company where AI is an integral part of how we build and operate. AI tool usage during interviews varies by role. You may be asked to demonstrate proficiency with AI tools, discuss how you leverage AI, or complete interview exercises without AI assistance. Your Recruiter will provide clear guidance as you move through the interview process.

Undisclosed use of AI not previously discussed with or approved by your Recruiter may impact your candidacy.

About The Team

Life360's Credit, Collections & Billing team is central to how the company gets paid. This isn't a back-office function that processes transactions in isolation. The decisions and effectiveness of this team drive cash flow, revenue quality, and how Life360 manages financial risk across the business.

The team sits within Revenue Accounting and covers the full order-to-cash cycle across every part of the business: hardware, advertising, subscriptions, and other partnerships. Credit assessments, invoicing, collections, dispute resolution, and bad debt management all run through this function. The team works closely with Sales, Revenue Accounting, Legal, and other cross-functional teams and is vital to supporting our growing, evolving business. When new products launch or commercial models shift, this team is involved early. The team operates with a continuous improvement mindset, constantly evaluating how processes, systems, and workflows can be made faster, more accurate, and scalable, rather than just maintained.

About the Job

We are looking for a Director, Order-to-Cash to take full ownership of the order-to-cash cycle and lead the team that keeps it running. This is a player-coach role that will lead a team of two and also serve as a hands-on contributor, directly owning a portion of the operational workload.  This role sets the standard for how the function operates, and the person in it is accountable for both the day-to-day execution and the longer-term health of the process.

Day to day, this means owning the KPIs that matter: DSO, aging, collection effectiveness, and risk management across multiple businesses. It means ensuring billing is accurate, collections are moving, and credit decisions are grounded in data. It also means being the connective tissue between the team and other cross-functional stakeholders, making sure communication is clear and nothing falls through the cracks.

Beyond the operational work, this role is expected to drive process improvement, automation and capacity creation. If something is manual, slow, or breaks when volume increases, fixing it is part of the job description.

On the AI front: you don't need to be an expert, but you do need to be genuinely curious. Our Finance team already uses AI tools across our day-to-day work, and we want someone who is interested in expanding that. If you get excited about finding smarter ways to work and are willing to experiment, you will fit right in.

The US-based salary range for this position is $159,500 to $233,000. We take into consideration an individual's background and experience in determining final salary - therefore, base pay offered may vary considerably depending on geographic location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The compensation package includes a wide range of medical, dental, vision, financial, and other benefits, as well as equity.

What You’ll Do

  • Own the end-to-end order-to-cash cycle, including credit assessments, collections strategy, and billing operations, ensuring accuracy and timeliness in these processes across all revenue streams
  • Set and enforce credit policies, establish customer credit limits, and manage credit risk exposure across the portfolio using data-driven frameworks
  • Lead and develop a team of two reports, setting clear performance expectations and building capacity for scale
  • Drive collections strategy and execution, including aging management, dispute resolution, DSO reduction initiatives, and escalation protocols for delinquent accounts
  • Partner with Sales and Revenue Accounting to resolve billing discrepancies, support deal structuring decisions as needed, and ensure contract terms translate accurately into invoicing
  • Oversee billing operations, including invoice generation, payment application, reconciliation, and customer communication workflows
  • Build and maintain reporting covering DSO, aging and risk exposure, bad debt reserves, and collection effectiveness.
  • Partner with Accounting and Finance to support cash flow forecasting and projections, providing visibility into expected collections timing and aging trends to inform the company's liquidity outlook and operating cash flow reporting
  • Own the SOX control framework for the order-to-cash function, ensuring all processes and procedures are designed and operating in compliance with internal control requirements, documentation is audit-ready, and the team has zero tolerance for control exceptions
  • Own audit support for the function, serving as the primary point of contact for internal and external audit requests related to AR, credit, and collections controls.
  • Identify and implement process improvements and system enhancements across NetSuite, Salesforce, and other tools to reduce manual effort and improve cycle time

What We’re Looking For

  • 12+ years of progressive experience in credit, collections, billing, or order-to-cash, with at least 3 years in a people leadership role
  • A player-coach mentality. You lead the team and own the function, and you carry a meaningful portion of the operational workload yourself.
  • Experience managing AR portfolios with B2B customers across multiple business lines and channels.
  • Demonstrated ability to build and scale credit risk frameworks, including credit scoring, limit-setting, and portfolio monitoring
  • Proficiency in ERP systems (NetSuite preferred) and CRM platforms (Salesforce), with hands-on experience optimizing billing and collections workflows
  • Analytical orientation with the ability to translate AR data into actionable insights for CFO, CRO, and executive leadership audiences
  • Experience partnering cross-functionally with Sales, Legal, FP&A, and Revenue Accounting to align on contract terms, payment structures, and policy decisions
  • Proven track record managing DSO improvement initiatives and driving measurable reductions in past-due balances
  • Comfort operating in a fast-paced, public company environment with quarter-end close deadlines and SEC reporting implications
  • A collaborative, low-ego working style. You build strong relationships across finance and the business, give direct feedback with respect, and make the people around you better.
  • Curiosity about AI and a willingness to use it. You don’t need to be an expert, but you should have started exploring tools like Claude or ChatGPT and be motivated to keep learning. We’re building toward an AI-native finance function and want someone who’s excited about that.
  • BA/BS in Accounting, Finance, or Business required; CPA, CFA, or MBA a plus

Our Benefits

  • Competitive pay and benefits
  • Medical, dental, vision, life and disability insurance plans (100% paid for employees)
  • 401(k) plan with company matching program
  • Mental Wellness Program & Employee Assistance Program (EAP) for mental well-being
  • Flexible PTO, 13 company-wide days off throughout the year
  • Winter and Summer Weeklong Synchronized Company Shutdowns
  • Learning & Development programs
  • Equipment, tools, and reimbursement support for a productive remote environment
  • Free Life360 Platinum Membership for your preferred circle

Race & Ethnicity Definitions

If you believe you belong to any of the categories of protected veterans listed below, please indicate by making the appropriate selection. As a government contractor subject to the Vietnam Era Veterans Readjustment Assistance Act (VEVRAA), we request this information in order to measure the effectiveness of the outreach and positive recruitment efforts we undertake pursuant to VEVRAA. Classification of protected categories is as follows:

A "disabled veteran" is one of the following: a veteran of the U.S. military, ground, naval or air service who is entitled to compensation (or who but for the receipt of military retired pay would be entitled to compensation) under laws administered by the Secretary of Veterans Affairs; or a person who was discharged or released from active duty because of a service-connected disability.

Voluntary Self-Identification of Disability

Form CC-305
OMB Control Number 1250-0005
Expires 04/30/2026

Why are you being asked to complete this form?

We are a federal contractor or subcontractor. The law requires us to provide equal employment opportunity to qualified people with disabilities. We have a goal of having at least 7% of our workers as people with disabilities. The law says we must measure our progress towards this goal. To do this, we must ask applicants and employees if they have a disability or have ever had one. People can become disabled, so we need to ask this question at least every five years.

Completing this form is voluntary, and we hope that you will choose to do so. Your answer is confidential. No one who makes hiring decisions will see it. Your decision to complete the form and your answer will not harm you in any way. If you want to learn more about the law or this form, visit the U.S. Department of Labor’s Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP) website at www.dol.gov/ofccp.
