We are AI Native

We are building an AI native company where AI is an integral part of how we build and operate. AI tool usage during interviews varies by role. You may be asked to demonstrate proficiency with AI tools, discuss how you leverage AI, or complete interview exercises without AI assistance. Your Recruiter will provide clear guidance as you move through the interview process.

Undisclosed use of AI not previously discussed with or approved by your Recruiter may impact your candidacy.

About The Team

As you'd expect from a company obsessed with keeping families connected, the eCommerce team moves fast and takes the member experience seriously – because a clunky flow is its own kind of broken promise. Sitting inside Journey Marketing, we’re a mix of merchandisers, marketers, data folks, and designers who all care about the same thing: turning every member touchpoint — from first website or app visit — into long-term loyalty and lasting relationships. From the online store to in-app purchases to wherever commerce shows up next, this team builds the experience that turns interest into purchase. If you like owning outcomes, thinking in systems, and turning "maybe" into "yes" at scale, you'll fit right in.

About the Job

Search has changed and is reshaping how families discover Life360 before they ever visit a website or app store. The SEO and ASO Manager owns Life360's unified organic discovery strategy across traditional search (SEO), AI answer surfaces (AEO/GEO), and app stores (ASO) – while simultaneously owning the content strategy, editorial calendar, and site information architecture that powers all three. You'll partner closely with Engineering, Product, and Marketing to build the technical foundation, content depth, and structured data layer that earn Life360 citations, rankings, and recommendations across every surface where families make decisions.

This is a hands-on role with real execution accountability. You'll manage a content strategist and supporting agency, setting the quality bar for everything we publish, and personally own the technical and strategic work that requires deep expertise. You'll be Life360's subject matter expert on how organic discovery works in an AI-first world and the person responsible for making sure we win it.

For candidates based in the US, the salary range for this position is $121,500 to $178,500 USD. We take into consideration an individual's background and experience in determining final salary - therefore, base pay offered may vary considerably depending on geographic location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The compensation package includes a wide range of medical, dental, vision, financial, and other benefits, as well as equity.

What You’ll Do

  • Manage a small team currently consisting of a Content Strategist
  • Own Life360's unified organic discovery strategy across SEO, AEO/GEO, and ASO, ensuring that search rankings, AI citations, and app store presence operate as a single, coordinated system across membership and devices.
  • Lead the content strategy and editorial calendar for Life360.com, setting the topical roadmap, content hierarchy, and publishing cadence across blog, product marketing pages, help content, and comparison pages – ensuring every piece serves a defined discovery and conversion purpose.
  • Build and maintain the site information architecture, owning URL structure, taxonomy, internal linking, and wayfinding logic that enables both users and crawlers to navigate Life360's content efficiently.
  • Execute AEO optimization across all content surfaces (web and app), implementing and expanding structured data, shaping content for AI parsing, and building the signals that AI models weight heavily.
  • Monitor and grow Life360's AI citation share across ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini, and Google AI Overviews, tracking citation rate and proactively identifying content gaps where competitors or third parties are defining our narrative before we do.
  • Lead technical SEO health: manage crawlability, indexation, Core Web Vitals, canonical and redirect logic, hreflang implementation, and structured data integrity; partner with Engineering to triage and resolve issues and build technical SEO requirements into relevant product and site launches.
  • Optimize landing pages and FAQ content for both traditional SERP performance and AI answer eligibility, ensuring high-commercial-intent pages are built to convert and be cited.
  • Drive the off-page authority strategy in partnership with PR, identifying link-building opportunities, editorial placements (Wirecutter, Forbes Advisor, parenting publishers), and creator co-citation campaigns that build Life360's domain authority and AI recommendation weight.
  • Own regional SEO localization including locale-specific keyword research, localized content briefs, hreflang governance, and coordinated ASO refreshes for each market.
  • Deliver weekly, monthly, and quarterly performance reporting across organic sessions, AI citation rate, app store rank, and organic revenue contribution – translating data into clear strategic recommendations for cross-functional stakeholders.

What We’re Looking For

  • 5–8 years of experience in content strategy and SEO, with a track record of measurable organic performance improvement on apps and websites.
  • Proven AEO experience: you understand how LLMs parse content, what structured data signals matter for AI citation, and have implemented strategies that improved a brand's visibility in generative search results.
  • Strong technical SEO foundation: you've worked directly with Engineering on crawl health, indexation, Core Web Vitals, structured data, and site architecture; you can write a detailed technical brief and QA the implementation.
  • Content strategy ownership: you've built and run an editorial calendar, managed content production workflows, conducted content gap analysis, and made strategic decisions about topical authority and content hierarchy – not just written or edited content.
  • AI-native operator: you use AI tools actively in your workflow (content research, brief generation, structured data implementation, performance analysis) and can guide AI systems to produce on-brand output at scale.
  • Global SEO experience: including hreflang implementation, locale-specific keyword strategy, and regional content localization across multiple markets.
  • Data-driven decision maker who can build performance dashboards, identify anomalies, and translate organic metrics into clear business impact narratives for leadership.
  • Proficiency with SEO tools (Ahrefs, Semrush, Screaming Frog, or equivalent) and Google Search Console; experience with ASO platforms (AppTweak, Sensor Tower, or equivalent) is a strong plus.
  • Strong cross-functional collaborator who can work fluidly with Engineering, Product, Marketing, and PR to align organic strategy with product launches, campaigns, and technical roadmaps.
  • Clear, confident communicator who can make the case for organic investment, translate complex algorithm shifts into plain-language implications, and influence prioritization without direct authority over engineering resources.

Our Benefits

  • Medical, dental, vision, life and disability insurance plans (100% paid for employees)
  • Paid parental leave
  • 401(k) plan with company matching program
  • Mental Wellness Program & Employee Assistance Program (EAP) for mental well-being
  • Generous time off: flexible PTO, companywide holidays throughout the year plus summer and winter shutdowns
  • Learning & Development programs
  • Equipment, tools, and reimbursement support for a productive remote environment
  • Free Life360 Platinum Membership and Tile trackers

Voluntary Self-Identification of Disability

Form CC-305
OMB Control Number 1250-0005
Expires 07/31/2029

Why are you being asked to complete this form?

We are a federal contractor or subcontractor. The law requires us to provide equal employment opportunity to qualified people with disabilities. We have a goal of having at least 7% of our workers as people with disabilities. The law says we must measure our progress towards this goal. To do this, we must ask applicants and employees if they have a disability or have ever had one. People can become disabled, so we need to ask this question at least every five years.

Completing this form is voluntary, and we hope that you will choose to do so. Your answer is confidential. No one who makes hiring decisions will see it. Your decision to complete the form and your answer will not harm you in any way. If you want to learn more about the law or this form, visit the U.S. Department of Labor’s Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP) website at www.dol.gov/ofccp.
