We are looking for a Backend Engineer to join our team and help us build solid products. The design and development of scalable, reliable backend services and their maintenance require the fine craftsmanship of skillful backend engineers. They are pillar stones of our company; they give life to and nourish our highly anticipated and highly acclaimed product. As the old adage goes: “The Backend giveth and the Backend taketh away”

About the Position

Must-Have

• Strong engineering skills and programming fundamentals
• Have +2 years of software development experience
• Highly eager to learn and quick learner
• Experienced with Go and/or Kotlin
• Proficient in concurrency concepts and async programming
• Experienced in REST and gRPC API design and development
• Experienced in Relational DBMS like MySQL
• Experienced with Git version control system
• Experience with unit testing, integration testing, and load testing
• Familiarity with containerization (Docker) and CI/CD pipelines
• Strong collaboration skills, system thinking, and ability to clearly explain complex concepts
• Self-motivated and self-managing with strong organizational skills
• Strong English language communication skills

Nice to Have (one or more)

• Experience with Quarkus framework
• Experience working with cloud services particularly AWS
• Understanding of infrastructure as code using Terraform
• Fundamental understanding of computer networks, as the role requires frequent interaction with network-related concepts and tasks
• Basic experience with frontend technologies like React and TypeScript
