Service Trainer

Job Summary:
Deliver, coordinate, and evaluate training programs for Service Technicians to ensure proper knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and safety procedures. Provide ongoing technical instruction and support to improve technician performance, customer satisfaction, and overall service quality. Maintain up-to-date understanding of Lift Power Inc. products, policies, and repair techniques, and communicate this information effectively to all service personnel.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities: |
- Develop and deliver technician training programs in both classroom and hands-on settings.
- Provide instruction on equipment operation, preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair procedures.
- Ensure all training materials remain accurate, up to date, and aligned with manufacturer requirements and company standards.
- Assess technician skill levels and provide constructive feedback to support ongoing development.
- Measure training effectiveness through testing, observation, and performance evaluations.
- Support field technicians and management by assisting with complex diagnostic and repair issues as learning opportunities.
- Provide guidance on service processes, tools, and industry best practices.
- Communicate updates to service procedures, safety requirements, and technical documentation.
- Maintain accurate training records, certification status, and technician competency tracking.
- Coordinate with the Service Department and Service Manager regarding training schedules, participant availability, new hire onboarding, skill assessments, certification requirements, and training resource needs.
- Follow all company policies, procedures, and safety standards.
- Maintain training tools, demo equipment, and related resources in proper working condition.
- Attend manufacturer and internal training sessions to maintain and expand technical expertise.
Education and Experience Requirements: |
- Requires a valid driver’s license
- Must have a clear motor vehicle report
- Mechanical ability preferred
- Forklift experience preferred
Skills Required: |
- Knowledge of internal combustion engines (Gas, LPG and Diesel)
- Basic understanding of electricity and hydraulics
- Equipment Maintenance
- Analyzing information
- Requires a valid driver’s license
