
Part-time Program Manager
LightFeather is seeking a Part-Time Program Manager to lead and coordinate a portfolio of IT support services for a federal client. The Program Manager will be responsible for ensuring seamless coordination between technical staff, federal stakeholders, and LightFeather leadership—driving both day-to-day operations and long-term success.
Location: Remote with preference for Silver Spring, MD area candidates

Clearance Requirement: Public Trust or higher preferred
Key Responsibilities
- Provide leadership and direction for IT support services, ensuring technical teams meet performance, security, and compliance goals.
- Coordinate activities across network, server, cybersecurity, database, application, and helpdesk functions, aligning resources with client priorities.
- Lead project kickoff sessions, stakeholder meetings, and technical status updates, ensuring risks and issues are tracked and resolved.
- Prepare and deliver monthly progress reports summarizing accomplishments, issues, and upcoming milestones.
- Maintain and update project management and quality management plans as requirements evolve.
- Oversee continuity and disaster recovery planning to ensure systems and services can be restored after outages.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for client leadership, providing clear communication on progress, risks, and resolutions.
Required Qualifications
- U.S. Citizenship required.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance.
- 5+ years of program or project management experience in IT service delivery.
- Proven experience managing technical teams and subcontractors.
- Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to oversee multiple priorities.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Experience preparing project plans, reports, and other management documentation.
Preferred Skills
- Knowledge of federal IT environments, security compliance standards, and accessibility requirements.
- Familiarity with IT infrastructure, network support, and application maintenance.
- Experience leading transition-in or transition-out activities.
- PMP or equivalent project management certification.
