
ServiceNow Developer
LightFeather is seeking an experienced Senior ServiceNow Developer to support ongoing development and enhancement of the ServiceNow platform, with a primary focus on ITSM. In this role, you will work closely under the guidance of a ServiceNow Architect, delivering high-quality configurations, customizations, and integrations aligned with technical standards and client requirements.
This position is ideal for a developer who brings deep ServiceNow platform expertise, strong scripting ability, and a collaborative mindset to work across technical and functional teams supporting mission-critical needs.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, test, and deploy ServiceNow configurations and custom applications.

Support ongoing improvements and optimization of ServiceNow ITSM modules.

Collaborate with the ServiceNow Architect and business analysts to clarify requirements and deliver solutions aligned with client needs.

Participate in technical design reviews and contribute to best practice documentation.

Maintain and refine update sets, release processes, and technical documentation.

Contribute to continuous process improvement and platform stability.
Required Qualifications

U.S. Citizenship and active Secret clearance
-
5–7 years of experience developing on the ServiceNow platform
-
ServiceNow Certified Application Developer (CAD)

At least one ServiceNow Certified Implementation Specialist (CIS) certification (ITSM preferred)

Expert-level proficiency in ServiceNow scripting, including:

Server-side and client-side JavaScript

Glide API / Glide scripting

Strong understanding of ServiceNow development best practices, including:

Application scoping

Data segregation

Performance optimization
-

Familiarity with Agile and Scrum development methodologies

Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with technical and functional teams
Preferred Qualifications

Prior experience in federal or defense contracting environments

Familiarity with release coordination, version control, and agile delivery methods
