Description

In this role, you're the operational engine behind LightForce's global marketing function and its small but mighty team. You turn direction into plans, hold the details, and make sure what gets imagined actually gets delivered across events, programs, systems, and the day-to-day running of the team. This role is the operational counterweight to a highly creative VP. You'll bring order to an idea-rich function. That means turning direction into timelines and owners, tracking what's in flight, keeping things from falling through the cracks, and flagging what's at risk before it becomes a problem. The right person takes real satisfaction in translating priorities into plans with owners, dates, dependencies, and decision points, and then executing them without dropping a thread.

This role is remote, but prefer Boston-based

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Events

  • Lead end-to-end execution of strategic events and programs, including NSM, AAO, trade shows, clinical education and customer programs
  • Own budgets, vendors, logistics, and timelines
  • Standardize planning processes, timelines, and follow-up workflows
  • Ensure consistent lead capture, tracking, and post-event follow-up
  • Report on ROI, pipeline, and program effectiveness
  • Cares about creating high-end beautiful experiences

Program & Project Management

  • Maintain a single view of everything in flight across the marketing function
  • Convert strategic priorities into plans with owners, dates, and dependencies
  • Manage handoffs across marketing, commercial, clinical, and product
  • Keep leadership current on progress, risks, and outcomes

Cross-Functional Coordination

  • Serve as a central point of coordination across the commercial team and leadership
  • Improve communication flow and eliminate silos
  • Align stakeholders to ensure accountability and follow-through
  • Is extremely hands-on, and has a can-do attitude

Systems, Tools & Data

  • Drive adoption and optimization of CRM and project management tools
  • Improve integration across systems for visibility and efficiency
  • Reduce reliance on manual processes and email tracking
  • Establish centralized tracking for initiatives, timelines, and outcomes

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications OR equivalent core work experience
  • 8+ years of relevant work experience in Marketing, Marketing Operations, Admin and/or Marketing Events Services
