Lightmatter is (re)inventing the future of computing with light!

Lightmatter is seeking an experienced, driven Sr. Business Systems Analyst (BSA) to join our Enterprise Applications team.

Reporting directly to the Head of IT and Security, you will be instrumental in designing the business process flows that drive our company. You will be responsible for bridging the gap between key business stakeholders and our tech stack, ensuring our systems and environments support the unique complexities of a scaling fabless semiconductor company.

Responsibilities

  1. Semiconductor Business Architecture
  • Design & Deploy Flows: Architect and implement end-to-end business flows from scratch. You will define how a wafer moves systematically from a Foundry through OSAT (Assembly/Test) to a finished good.
  • Process Mapping: Translate complex physical manufacturing processes into digital workflows, covering Yield Management, RMA, and Subcon Manufacturing.
  1. ERP & PLM Process Management
  • System Process Ownership: Serve as the functional process expert for NetSuite and Arena PLM. You will ensure the business can run these processes flawlessly as we scale.
  • Finance & Accounting Support: Configure and optimize Finance modules, focusing on Cost Accounting, Fixed Assets, Order-to-Cash, and Procure-to-Pay processes within a manufacturing context.
  • Supply Chain Operations: Configure flows through applications tracking, Inventory Valuation, and Demand Planning.
  1. General BSA & Integration Work
  • Requirements Gathering: Act as the liaison between business stakeholders and technical teams. You will translate "semiconductor speak" from engineers and Supply Chain into technical specs for developers, and "finance speak" into logic for system configuration.
  • Integration Oversight: Manage data flows between our internal systems and external parties (foundries, OSATs/Customers).
  • Documentation & Training: Create robust documentation for new processes and lead training sessions to ensure user adoption across the company.
  • Testing and Support: Lead and execute User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and provide feedback to the administrators.  Provide hypercare after launch and general support for systems.
  • Partner Ecosystem: Work closely with our vendors and partners to understand and design solutions.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 8 years of experience as a Business Systems Analyst
  • Bachelor's degree in business or an IT-related field.
  • Semiconductor Experience: You must have prior experience in the semiconductor industry. You understand the chip lifecycle, from tape-out to packaged unit, and the specific data requirements of a fabless model.
  • NetSuite Expertise: Deep functional knowledge of NetSuite is required. You should be comfortable with how NetSuite works, its capabilities, and best practices.
  • Proven Builder: You have been a BSA before and have a track record of setting up business flows from scratch or executing major system implementations. You are not just maintaining existing SOPs; you are writing them.
  • Domain Versatility: You are comfortable pivoting between Supply Chain (BOMs, WIP, Logistics), Finance (COGS, Revenue Recognition, Billing), and other teams daily.
  • Process Modeling: Ability to visualize and document flows to drive consensus among stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with IPaaS/Integration tools (e.g., Celigo, Boomi) for connecting NetSuite to other platforms.
  • Experience with Arena PLM
  • Experience with EDI standards for B2B connectivity with OSATs.
  • Previous experience in a high-growth hardware startup environment.

If you believe you belong to any of the categories of protected veterans listed below, please indicate by making the appropriate selection. As a government contractor subject to the Vietnam Era Veterans Readjustment Assistance Act (VEVRAA), we request this information in order to measure the effectiveness of the outreach and positive recruitment efforts we undertake pursuant to VEVRAA. Classification of protected categories is as follows:

A "disabled veteran" is one of the following: a veteran of the U.S. military, ground, naval or air service who is entitled to compensation (or who but for the receipt of military retired pay would be entitled to compensation) under laws administered by the Secretary of Veterans Affairs; or a person who was discharged or released from active duty because of a service-connected disability.

Form CC-305
OMB Control Number 1250-0005
Expires 04/30/2026

Why are you being asked to complete this form?

We are a federal contractor or subcontractor. The law requires us to provide equal employment opportunity to qualified people with disabilities. We have a goal of having at least 7% of our workers as people with disabilities. The law says we must measure our progress towards this goal. To do this, we must ask applicants and employees if they have a disability or have ever had one. People can become disabled, so we need to ask this question at least every five years.

Completing this form is voluntary, and we hope that you will choose to do so. Your answer is confidential. No one who makes hiring decisions will see it. Your decision to complete the form and your answer will not harm you in any way. If you want to learn more about the law or this form, visit the U.S. Department of Labor’s Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP) website at www.dol.gov/ofccp.
