What We're Looking For

We are looking for an IT and Security Specialist to join our growing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing all aspects of our IT and security infrastructure, ensuring the smooth operation and protection of our SaaS product and company data.

You will be joining the Business Operations Team and report to our Senior Manager, Business Operations. This is a hybrid role based in our New York City office with in-office requirements of 2 days per week. The salary range for this role is $103,000 - $135,000. 

What You’ll Do

  • Troubleshoot and efficiently resolve IT and security issues, providing rapid support to all employees.
  • Collaborate with external vendors, auditors, and third-party cloud service providers (AWS, GCP) to optimize spend, fortify security measures and ensure alignment with security standards.
  • Oversee software lifecycle management, including onboarding/offboarding processes and mobile device management solutions.
  • Implement, manage, and regularly update security policies and procedures to safeguard company assets and data.
  • Proactively identify and assess security risks and vulnerabilities, conducting regular risk assessments and vulnerability scans.
  • Develop, maintain, and execute an incident response plan, managing responses to security incidents and breaches with post-incident analysis and preventative strategy formulation.
  • Ensure regulatory compliance with industry standards (GDPR, HIPAA, SOC 2), including managing user access control via role-based access control (RBAC) systems.
  • Collaborate with external security vendors, auditors, and third-party cloud service providers to fortify security measures and ensure alignment with security standards.
  • Participate in and contribute to business continuity and disaster recovery planning, ensuring robust resilience and recovery strategies are in place.

What You’ll Need

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
  • 3+ years of experience in IT and security management
  • Strong understanding of network security, data protection, and compliance regulations
  • Advanced proficiency in troubleshooting and problem-solving
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and work independently in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience with specific security tools or platforms relevant to our company's technology stack, such as experience with AWS security services or familiarity with Kubernetes security
