We’re looking for a Financial Service Partnerships Manager to join our team. Reporting directly to the VP of Partnerships, the Manager of Financial Service Partnerships will own the relationship with our financial service partners who power Lightspeed Payments, Capital, and many other key products that our customers rely on to run their business. This role will involve collaborating with internal and external teams around the world to drive alignment with our financial service partners that now account for over 50% of our revenue.
As the Financial Service Partnerships Manager, you will report directly to the VP of Partnerships. You’ll be responsible for managing partners directly and will collaborate closely with the wider partnerships, strategy, product, legal, and finance teams at Lightspeed to determine priorities for some of our largest partnerships at Lightspeed. In this role, you’ll work closely with industry leaders in the payments and financial services space like Adyen, Stripe, YouLend, Visa, Mastercard, and more.
What you will be responsible for:
- Be the primary point of contact for all payments, capital, and card-scheme / payment method relationships Lightspeed leverages globally
- Set the priority list with partners; ensuring all teams feel well represented and supported by our key financial service partners
- Foster competition, drive margin, and ensure our partners are delivering innovative products that help us achieve our goals across our financial service products
- Leverage connections and relationships with key partners in the financial technology space to identify industry trends and opportunities for Lightspeed
- Identify opportunities to simplify and consolidate agreements across hundreds of established payment and financial service partnerships
- Push for innovation and product development from our partners to unlock new product functionality, geographic expansion, and consolidation towards our flagship products
What you will be bringing to the team:
- 3-5 years working in partnerships in in the payments and financial services space
- Proven results working across legal, product, and commercial teams
- Experience in a global SaaS environment, preference for fast-growth and global
- Track record of being able to both set or shape strategy, as well as delivering executional plans that have measurable impact on the business.
- Experience engaging at an executive level both internally with cross-functional groups and externally with partners
- Proven record of leading a diverse, high performing team across geographical regions and experience building high-performing, inclusive teams
- Exceptional written/verbal communication and presentation skills
- Ability to work independently with a high degree of accountability, while also able to collaborate cross-functionally with exceptional interpersonal skills
- Proven ability to thrive in a fluid, fast-paced, unpredictable environment
- Unquestionable ethics, integrity and business judgment; you share our values, and work in accordance with those values
- Highly motivated and adaptable with a demonstrated ability to thrive in a challenging, fast paced and team-oriented environment
