At Lightspeed, we’re looking for Director, Growth Marketing to join our global team and lead the charge in creating data-driven growth strategies that drive revenue, optimize performance, and push our global customer acquisition efforts into new territory. You’ll be a key leader and owner in Lightspeed’s global marketing organization. Your mission will be to build scalable growth engines, improve conversion funnels, and enable data-first decision-making across our acquisition and lifecycle efforts.
What you’ll be doing:
- Owning the strategy, performance, and leadership of four core teams:
- MAT (Marketing Automation),
- CRO (Conversion Rate Optimization),
- Marketing Analytics,
- Marketing AI.
- Lead and Develop Teams: Oversee and grow a high-performing global team across MAT, CRO,AI and Data, fostering collaboration, accountability, and innovation.
- Growth Strategy: Define and execute global growth strategies that align with Lightspeed’s business goals across markets and verticals.
- Data-Driven Optimization: Drive the use of experimentation and data analytics to optimize lead generation, lead scoring, conversion funnels, and retention efforts.
- Marketing Automation: Own the global marketing tech stack and automation strategy to ensure scalable and efficient execution of campaigns.
- Conversion Rate Optimization: Lead CRO efforts across web properties, collaborating with UX, design, and content teams to continually test and improve user journeys.
- Marketing AI: working closely with the Information Systems (IS) team to implement new ways to leverage AI for marketing effectiveness and efficiency, including collaborating with our different sales teams to enrich our prospects and customers profile using genAI.
- Performance Tracking: Partner with our Data Office to define KPIs, build dashboards, and create a culture of performance measurement and iterative improvement.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Work cross-functionally with regional leaders, product teams, and revenue operations to align on growth priorities and execution plans.
- Innovation & Experimentation: Establish a strong experimentation framework and test-and-learn culture within all teams under your purview.
What you need to bring:
- 8–12+ years of experience in growth marketing, performance marketing, or marketing operations, ideally in a global SaaS or eCommerce environment.
- 5+ years of experience leading teams, including cross-functional and remote teams.
- Proven success in managing or scaling Marketing Automation/AI, CRO, and/or Data teams.
- Deep understanding of modern marketing tech stacks (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot/Marketo, Google Cloud Platform, BigQuery, Fivetran, Looker, GA4, Clay (CMS, CDPs).
- Strong analytical mindset with a track record of leveraging data to drive marketing performance.
- Experience in high-growth, fast-paced environments and a passion for experimentation and continuous improvement.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills, with a collaborative, global mindset.
- As a global company with employees and clients outside of Quebec, fluency in English as a working language is required for this position.
Even better if you have, but not necessary:
- Experience in the POS, retail tech, or hospitality tech industries.
- Familiarity with privacy regulations (GDPR, CCPA) as it relates to data collection and marketing practices.
