Senior Project Manager

London, England, United Kingdom

Hi there! Thanks for stopping by đź‘‹

Are you actively looking for a new opportunity? Or just checking the market? Either way—you might be in the right place.

Lightspeed is looking for a Senior Manager, Project Management to support our EMEA marketing portfolio. This is a senior individual contributor role for an experienced project leader who thrives in complexity, operates with a high degree of autonomy, and brings structure and clarity to large-scale, multi-market marketing initiatives.

Reporting to the Senior Director, Marketing Operations, you will own the delivery of complex, cross-regional marketing programs across EMEA. You will partner closely with regional and global stakeholders to translate strategic objectives into executable plans—while navigating language, localization, regulatory, and operational nuances unique to European markets.

This role is ideal for someone who can think strategically, execute flawlessly, and act as a trusted advisor to senior stakeholders—without direct people management responsibilities.

Kindly be aware that residing in London is a prerequisite for eligibility in consideration for this position, given its hybrid nature.

What you’ll be doing:

Strategic Project Leadership (EMEA)

  • Own end-to-end delivery of high-complexity, multi-country marketing initiatives across the EMEA region.
  • Lead marketing projects involving localized asset development, regional adaptations, phased rollouts, and market-specific requirements.
  • Translate ambiguous or high-level briefs into clear, actionable project strategies, timelines, and execution plans.
  • Proactively identify and manage cross-market dependencies, risks, and trade-offs, recommending solutions aligned with business priorities.
  • Serve as the primary point of accountability for delivery, quality, and outcomes across assigned initiatives.

Advanced Project Management & Execution

  • Build and maintain integrated project plans including scope, work breakdown structures, resourcing models, timelines, and risk mitigation strategies.
  • Manage multiple concurrent projects with competing priorities, balancing speed, quality, and stakeholder expectations.
  • Lead complex stakeholder forums, steering meetings, and executive readouts with confidence and clarity.
  • Ensure consistent project governance, documentation, and reporting using project management tools (JIRA, Monday.com).
  • Track progress against milestones, surface issues early, and drive projects to successful, on-time completion.

Cross-Functional & Regional Collaboration

  • Partner closely with regional marketing teams, content, creative, product marketing, legal, and global stakeholders.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to senior marketing leaders, offering guidance on feasibility, sequencing, and execution best practices.
  • Facilitate alignment across teams operating in different time zones, languages, and market contexts.
  • Ensure messaging, creative assets, and delivery plans are aligned with both global strategy and local market needs.

Marketing Operations & Continuous Improvement

  • Identify opportunities to improve EMEA marketing delivery models, workflows, and operating rhythms.
  • Drive standardization where possible while allowing for regional flexibility where required.
  • Leverage data and insights to evaluate project performance and recommend process improvements.
  • Contribute to the evolution of marketing project management best practices across the organization.
  • Coach and influence stakeholders on effective project engagement, planning discipline, and delivery expectations (without direct people management).

What you need to bring:

  • 6–8+ years of experience in project management within marketing, creative, or related fields.
  • Proven experience leading large-scale, multi-market or international marketing initiatives, ideally within EMEA.
  • Deep understanding of marketing asset development, localization, and regional execution complexities.
  • Strong command of project management principles, methodologies, and tools, with the ability to adapt them pragmatically.
  • Demonstrated ability to operate with high autonomy, sound judgment, and minimal oversight.
  • Experience managing senior stakeholders and influencing outcomes without formal authority.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English; additional European languages are a strong asset.
  • Ability to remain calm, structured, and decisive in fast-paced, ambiguous environments.
  • Advanced experience with project management tools such as JIRA and Monday.com.
  • PMP or equivalent certification is an asset.
