THE ROLE 

Senior Consultants at Lightworks deliver hands-on technical implementation across cloud engineering, data platforms, AI infrastructure, DevOps, and security architecture. You are expected to be embedded, client-facing, and technically accountable from day one. Day to day, you help some of the world’s most complex and highly regulated firms implement leading edge technologies at scale. 

You will work inside client programs alongside teammates, Principal Consultants, senior client engineers, and Program Directors. You are expected to be able to operate independently, executing workstreams, managing other teammates and deliverables. You will receive mentorship and guidance from Principal Consultants, but your work and delivery should be self-standing and defensible in its own right. 

WHAT YOU WILL DO 

Enterprise AI & Control Plane, and Emerging Technology 

• Design and build enterprise AI capabilities including LLM gateway, model and inference routers, implementation of guardrails 

• Build and refine production-grade AI solutions utilizing LangGraph, LangFuse, ADK, and other leading LLM orchestration and observability platforms 

• Own and deliver AI and data workstreams within large-scale enterprise programs, including AI/ML infrastructure, data platforms, and agentic system deployments 

• Proven experience designing, building, and deploying agentic systems, AI workflows and multi-agent AI systems in production environments 

• Cloud Consulting 

• Proven ability to design and build secure, compliant cloud platforms, and foundations for highly regulated industries (finance, insurance, aviation, or similar) 

• Extensive experience as a cloud consultant leading large-scale cloud migrations, modernization projects, and cloud-native architecture on AWS, Azure and/or GCP 

• Participate in client stakeholder meetings at the Director and Head-of level, communicating progress, risks, and decisions clearly 

• Produce technical documentation, architecture decision records, and delivery artefacts that are clear, defensible, and production-ready 

• Clear, concise communicator – able to translate complex technical concepts for both engineering and executive audiences without losing precision.  

YOUR BACKGROUND & EXPERIENCE  

Education  

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or another STEM-related field. Equivalent practical experience considered 

• Hyper-scale certifications at Associate or Professional level are required. Specialty certifications (Security, Data Analytics, Solutions Architect Professional) are a meaningful differentiator. Equivalent demonstrable hands-on experience considered where certifications are in progress 

Experience 

• 5+ years of hands-on technology delivery experience, with at least 3 years inside a highly regulated industry - financial services, insurance, telecommunications, or government 

• Strong full-stack depth: a modern JS framework (Vue/React/etc.) and a server-side framework (Django/Rails/Spring/etc.) 

• Hands-on expertise with modern LLM orchestration frameworks such as LangGraph, LangFuse, ADK, CrewAI, AutoGen, or similar platforms 

• Solid grasp of relational data modelling, API design, and authentication/authorization 

• Deep technical capability in at least one core domain: AWS, Azure & GCP cloud engineering, data platforms (Airflow, Glue, Databricks), DevOps/SRE, AI/ML infrastructure, or security architecture 

• Demonstrated experience delivering client-facing technology work with clear ownership of outcomes, not only tasks 

• Evidence of operating well in ambiguity – managing dependencies, escalating appropriately, and following through to completion  

• Prior experience in consulting, professional services, system integrator, or enterprise transformation environment. Familiarity with regulated delivery practices including architecture review, risk and compliance sign-off, security controls, production readiness, and operational governance 

Communication & Culture Fit 

• Clear, concise communicator – able to translate complex technical concepts for engineering and executive audience without losing precision 

•  Take ownership, close loops, and make the next step obvious for clients and teammates 

Advantageous 

• Mainframe and/or legacy application modernization exposure 

• Multi-cloud experience – AWS, Azure & GCP 

• Familiarity with observability, SRE practices, and production operations in regulated environments 

• IaC fluency: Terraform, CloudFormation, Bicep, or equivalent
