The Opportunity
The Associate Site Reliability Engineer will play a supporting role in defining measures of reliability for services to ensure they meet the performance and uptime requirements of their users and provide consultative support to help teams to achieve and maintain those objectives.
You will also be supporting ongoing management & running of Azure cloud environments, ensuring that security standards, misconfiguration & end of life components are managed & our cloud footprint is in good health.
The role will involve:
- Supporting the definition and agreement with product stakeholders’ reliability metrics
- Providing input on Technical Architecture and solutions to improve all elements of Landmark Infrastructure
- Driving reporting based on agreed reliability metrics.
- Ensuring misconfiguration and platform hygiene is maintained.
- Undertaking investigations into technologies, practices, and methodologies outside of the normal Landmark stack.
About You
To be successful as the Associate Site Reliability Engineer you will be someone who has experience in a technical support and design role, as well as knowledge and experience providing 3rd level support in a similar field.
You will also have/be:
- Ability to analyse problems and determine appropriate solutions
- Experience in technical support encompassing varying IaaS, PaaS and SaaS Solutions
- Proven experience with at least one CI tool set
- Experience in Web Application support, debugging and management
- Experience with Scripting eg, Powershell, Bach, Python etc.
- Experience of running production workloads in Azure & at least one other cloud service provider.
- Exposure to cloud hygiene tooling, such as Cloudsploit, security monkey, AT&T Cybersecurity etc.
- Exposure to Cosmos DB
