The Opportunity

The primary purpose of this role is to lead and grow new business activity for Optimus, ensuring delivery against company-wide revenue targets. This includes:

  • B2B sales across conveyancing (including searches) and surveys, led through Business Development Directors, Business Development Managers, and Business Development Executives.
  • B2C sales across conveyancing (including searches), surveys, and Optimus Home products, delivered via New Business Team Leaders.

The role plays a critical part in supporting Optimus’s growth and industry presence by strengthening client relationships, identifying upsell and retention opportunities, and aligning internal teams to deliver a seamless, high-quality customer experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Team Targets: Drive the consistent achievement of team targets through effective coaching and development. Inspire the team to win new business, identify and close new opportunities, and continually improve conversion rates across all sales touchpoints.
  • Management: Provide day-to-day leadership of the B2B & B2C sales teams, setting and maintaining high performance standards and leading by example. Deliver ongoing training to build knowledge and capability across the team. Develop and retain talent, with success measured through low attrition rates. Own and execute the recruitment strategy, building the team in line with business growth plans.
  • Administration: Ensure accurate and timely completion of sales and operational processes, including Salesforce administration, to support robust reporting and forecasting.
  • Industry Expertise & Market Growth: Maintain expert-level knowledge of the property industry, including residential and commercial conveyancing, legal software, and wider market trends. Proactively support market share growth by anticipating and exceeding client expectations.
  • Reporting: Produce weekly reporting on pipeline and key sales activity, aligned to the wider sales strategy and growth objectives.
  • Culture: Build and nurture a positive, high-performance team culture that supports individual development and progression.
  • Sales Strategy: Identify and deliver opportunities for sponsorship, promotion, or hospitality that support the sales strategy. Partner closely with marketing to ensure the team is equipped with effective campaigns and sales collateral.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work collaboratively across departments to identify group opportunities, service gaps, and limitations within Optimus’s current offering. Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives that support the unified strategic objectives of the wider Landmark Group. Partner with operations teams to enhance service delivery and respond to customer requirements.

About You

You will bring:

  • Experience working in the property industry for a minimum of 5 years.
  • Experience working with sales teams and minimum of 2 years management experience.
  • Understanding of sales and strategy.
  • Ability to communicate confidently with colleagues.
  • Understanding of the conveyancing and home surveys process.
  • Ability to produce and analyse reports to help with the strategy of Optimus.
  • Worked with in-house Customer Relationship Management systems.
