SUMMARY DESCRIPTION:

Purpose and function of job. 

Poker Shift Managers are responsible for overseeing assigned poker games, greeting and seating guests, ensuring guest safety and game security while providing our players a lively and enjoyable gaming atmosphere.

 

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS/DUTIES:

List duties in order of time spent or importance.  Essential duties and tasks that must be performed with or without reasonable accommodation.

●        Provide exceptional Guest service while maintaining a positive attitude.

●        Engage with players in a friendly and professional manner, aiding, explaining game rules, and maintaining a positive and entertaining atmosphere.

●        Adhere to Poker Room policies, procedures, and internal controls, maintaining a steadfast commitment to their standards.

●        Communicate with the Poker Room Manager to address any issues and contribute to maintaining a seamless flow of Poker Room operations.

●        Facilitate the exchange of currency for gaming chips and providing the dealers with the tools they need to do their functions.

●        Open and close games as needed in an efficient manner.

●        If needed, deal and manage various poker games following established rules and procedures.

●        Demonstrate the capacity to make prompt and sound decisions, especially under pressure.

●        Display reasonable computer skills. Poker Atlas knowledge preferred.

●        Have sensitivity to diverse cultures and backgrounds when interacting with players.

●        Show the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously, especially during busy periods.

●        Ability to assess and deliver performance reviews objectively.

●        Coach Team Members effectively, fostering improvement and growth.

●        Have the capability to assess situations, foresee potential issues, and devise effective solutions.

●        Complete documents clearly and in a timely manner.

●        Other duties as assigned.

●        Drive to exceed expectations while remaining accountable and fair.

●        Must be at least 21 years of age.

●        Strong mathematical knowledge to calculate odds, probabilities, and payouts accurately.

●        Manual dexterity to handle cards, chips, and equipment with precision.

 

Preferred Qualifications:

●        Minimum 3 years’ experience as a poker dealer

●        Familiarity with Casino games, rules, and procedures.
