Development Assistant (Commercial Real Estate)

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Development/Construction Associate to join our real estate development team based in Dallas, TX. The Development/Construction Manager will play a pivotal role in assessing the viability and helping to create the basic massing for developments across the country. This is an excellent opportunity for a driven individual with a background in architecture, construction, or a related field to contribute to the success of high-profile real estate ventures and to work hand in hand with seasoned development and construction leads

 

Responsibilities:

  1. Support the Development teams on initial massing, phasing and feasibility of all types of projects including but not limited to industrial, multifamily, office retail and mixed use.
  2. Assist in the preparation and management of project schedules, budgets, and reports.
  3. Collaborate with Acquisition Team to conduct feasibility studies, market assessments, and financial modeling.
  4. Coordinate with architects, engineers, contractors, and consultants to ensure project objectives are met within established parameters.
  5. Participate in project meetings, site visits, and inspections to monitor progress and address any issues or concerns.
  6. Prepare and distribute project documentation, reports and presentations as needed.
  7. Support the procurement process by soliciting bids, reviewing proposals, and assisting with negotiating contracts.
  8. Maintain accurate records and documentation related to project activities, expenses, and correspondence.
  9.    Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Senior management.

Desired Competency, Experience and Skills:

  1. Bachelor's degree in architecture, construction management, real estate development, or a engineering.
  2. Minimum of 1 years of experience in architecture, construction, real estate development, or a similar role.
  3. Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  4. Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to interact effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
  5. Proficiency in project management software, Microsoft Office Suite, and other relevant tools and applications.
  6. Self-motivated and proactive with a strong work ethic and a commitment to delivering high-quality results.
  7. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment while maintaining attention to detail and accuracy.

This position is 100% in-office. The role requires working in office during standard business hours. Remote work or telecommuting is not an option for this position.
