Summary:

We are looking for a seasoned UX Researcher to join our team and play a pivotal role in driving impactful research studies for our Studios VR/MR games. This position offers a unique opportunity to collaborate with researchers, designers, product managers, and engineers to shape innovative products that make a difference in users’ lives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Partner with cross-functional teams to develop and implement research roadmaps aligned with business and user needs.
  • Lead user research studies across all stages of the product development lifecycle, delivering actionable insights to inform design decisions.
  • Contribute to product strategy, execution, and go-to-market planning.
  • Coordinate and manage research vendors to enhance the team’s capabilities and outcomes.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in conducting user research sessions and translating qualitative insights into strategic recommendations.
  • Proficient in all aspects of research execution, including planning, participant recruitment, moderation, data analysis, reporting, and stakeholder presentations.
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and influence stakeholders effectively.
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Psychology, Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), or a related field.
  • Genuine enthusiasm for video games and/or virtual reality.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience conducting user research in the video game industry.
  • Familiarity with user research methodologies tailored to virtual reality (VR) experiences.
  • Strong background in survey design and analysis.
  • Expertise in analyzing quantitative data and synthesizing results.

Requirements

  • Self-starter with excellent time management skills and the ability to work independently.
  • Exceptional communication, problem-solving, customer service, and interpersonal skills.
  • Competent in leveraging data to define hypotheses and support decision-making.
  • Skilled in storytelling to effectively communicate findings to diverse audiences and secure buy-in.
  • Ability to use VR headsets as part of day-to-day work.
  • Located in the Seattle area, with occasional access to onsite UX labs (most work can be completed remotely).

Location: Seattle, WA (Remote)

Role type: Contract 6 Month Position

Expected hours: 40 per week
