Project Manager II
Summary:
As a Pillar Operations Project Manager, you will oversee the workflow, timelines, and delivery of external UXR (User Experience Research) and game evaluation projects. In this role, you will collaborate closely with the UXR Program Manager, internal content owners, and research vendors to ensure user research studies and related initiatives are delivered within agreed-upon scope, schedule, and budget. You will play a pivotal role in managing a portfolio of vendor-led research projects, ensuring smooth execution and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Project Management:
- Schedule, monitor, and manage external user research studies focused on game evaluation.
- Coordinate vendor-led UXR projects, ensuring the timely delivery of research findings.
- Provide regular status updates and progress reports while identifying opportunities to improve operational efficiency and process quality.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration:
- Partner with Developer Relations, Production, UXR teams, and research vendors to ensure seamless execution of deliverables.
- Identify, communicate, and escalate priority and delivery-related issues.
- Adapt and communicate changes in requirements, aligning project delivery with milestone objectives.
- Reporting & Analysis:
- Report status and progress at both project and program levels.
- Track key metrics and distribute satisfaction surveys.
- Aggregate data and analyze findings, contributing to actionable insights and overall program success.
Experience
- At least 5 years of experience in project management, ideally within the video game industry or UXR project management.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Project Management, Psychology, Sociology, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
Preferred Qualifications
- Methodologies: Proficiency in agile, scrum, waterfall, and game development lifecycle (GDLC) methodologies.
- UXR Experience: Familiarity with UXR programs in gaming, with a strong understanding of how research influences game design and player experience.
- Tools: Experience with project management platforms like JIRA, Trello, and Asana, as well as UXR reporting tools.
- Gaming Knowledge: Understanding of gaming trends, player behavior, and design best practices. Passion for games is an advantage but not mandatory.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Proven ability to collaborate across teams and functions at scale.
