Content Project Manager II

Summary

As a Content Project Manager, you will be a trusted resource for internal partners, providing expertise on all aspects of VR content. In close collaboration with the APA Program Manager, you will proactively distribute critical information gathered from cross-functional meetings, content owners, and other sources to XFN partners and organization stakeholders on a regular cadence.

Additionally, you will play a key role in event planning, ensuring smooth execution of asset requests and contributing to strategic discussions for flagship events, such as the Gaming Showcase and Connect conferences.

Core Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for VR content in development and live on the platform.

  • Maintain proactive communication with internal stakeholders to highlight risks, concerns, and blockers.

  • Distill and share relevant insights from multiple information sources to support key initiatives.

  • Foster strong relationships with internal teams and third-party developers.

  • Ensure cross-functional partners provide timely status updates, driving accountability.

  • Maintain a deep understanding of VR products and experiences across all platforms.

  • Represent VR titles in cross-functional meetings, flagging strategies that may pose operational risks.

  • Oversee and manage the approval process and request queue from XFN partners.

  • Provide strategic input on organizational direction while maintaining an operations-first mindset.

  • Represent the organization and deliver program updates in group settings, including leadership briefings.

  • Navigate developer communications with care, ensuring confidentiality and alignment with partnership objectives.

  • Collaborate with Content, Marketing, and Events teams to showcase the right content at major events and secure asset/demo build approvals from IP holders.

Key Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in project management, game development, or a related field.

  • Proven ability to handle confidential assignments and sensitive information with discretion.

  • Detail-oriented with an analytical approach to process improvement, identifying opportunities for efficiency.

  • Passion for video games, with familiarity across multiple genres of VR, PC, and console gaming.

  • Strong understanding of technical specifications for digital and print assets, including resolution standards, file formats, and PC gaming hardware/software.

  • Advanced proficiency in Windows and Mac OS, including command line navigation, file structures, and permissions.

  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple tasks with focus and precision.

  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.

  • Proven ability to navigate complex cross-functional initiatives with diplomacy and strategic alignment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working directly with VR content.

  • Background in new hardware consumer launches, including proprietary software.

  • Familiarity with Salesforce and Digital Asset Management tools.

Location: Remote (West Coast - Preferred)

Role type: Contract 12 Month Position 

Expected hours: 40 per week

Schedule:

  • 8 hour shift
  • Monday to Friday (Extended schedule as needed Saturday-Sunday)
