Project Manager II
Summary:
The GIS Project Manager plays a pivotal role in overseeing daily development activities, ensuring seamless collaboration between development teams and business stakeholders, including both internal departments and external partners. This position requires a strategic thinker with strong project management skills to drive initiatives forward while maintaining alignment with organizational goals.
The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and adaptable, with a strong ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. This role will support geospatial initiatives and ensure that development efforts align with business needs, technical requirements, and evolving project demands.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the preparation and management of development sprints, ensuring that tasks are prioritized efficiently and align with overarching project objectives.
- Continuously evaluate and reprioritize project efforts based on shifting business requirements, stakeholder feedback, and unforeseen challenges.
- Collaborate with developers to proactively troubleshoot issues, resolve bottlenecks, and escalate critical concerns to business leads for swift resolution.
- Facilitate regular status meetings with business stakeholders to provide progress updates, address challenges, refine timelines, and integrate stakeholder feedback into planned sprints.
- Conduct thorough first-level reviews of project documentation, including updates to runbooks, methodology documentation, decision records, and status reports, ensuring clarity and completeness.
- Develop and maintain structured documentation that supports ongoing development efforts, enhances operational efficiency, and improves stakeholder transparency.
- Provide critical support for Project Dagobah, working in close collaboration with Economic Development and Site Development teams to advance key geospatial initiatives.
- Act as a liaison between technical and non-technical teams, translating complex geospatial concepts into actionable insights for stakeholders.
- Ensure project milestones are met by fostering collaboration, driving efficiency, and mitigating risks throughout the project lifecycle.
- Advocate for best practices in GIS project management, ensuring alignment with industry standards and technological advancements.
