Finance Project Manager V
Summary:
The Finance Project Manager is responsible for planning, directing, and coordinating project activities within the Finance organization, with a strong emphasis on financial systems and process optimization. The ideal candidate will possess the ability to manage projects independently, demonstrating exceptional leadership, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills. This role requires end-to-end project management capabilities, including risk assessment and mitigation, stakeholder alignment, and workshop facilitation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and coordinate finance-related projects, developing detailed plans to achieve objectives and integrating both technical and business process components.
- Manage multiple concurrent projects, ensuring timely delivery, quality outcomes, and alignment with organizational goals.
- Facilitate workshops and project meetings to gather requirements, provide updates, and support collaborative decision-making.
- Develop and execute stakeholder management strategies to ensure effective communication and project coordination.
- Collaborate with stakeholders across all levels of the organization to drive project success.
- Partner with subject matter experts to define project specifications and produce necessary documentation and artifacts.
- Identify, evaluate, and mitigate project risks, offering proactive solutions and recommendations.
- Maintain comprehensive project documentation and deliver regular status reports to stakeholders.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Demonstrated experience as a senior-level Project Manager, preferably within a Finance environment.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
- In-depth knowledge of finance functions such as Payroll, Tax, Treasury, and Accounting.
- Proven ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and oversee multiple projects simultaneously.
- Strong leadership and stakeholder engagement capabilities throughout the project lifecycle.
- Proficiency in project management and productivity tools, including Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Project, and Visio.
Education and Certifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or a related field.
- PMI or PMP certification preferred.
- Experience working within a Project Management Office (PMO) environment is a plus.
