Project Manager - Compensation Cycle Operations

Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and results-driven Project Manager to lead critical initiatives supporting the Compensation Cycle and Transfer Freeze. This role is responsible for overseeing the planning, execution, and successful delivery of complex projects, while ensuring alignment with strategic goals and strict timelines. The ideal candidate thrives in a dynamic environment, possesses excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, and demonstrates strong leadership in cross-functional collaboration and quality control.

Key Responsibilities

  • Define project scope, objectives, and success criteria in partnership with leadership and cross-functional stakeholders
  • Develop comprehensive project plans, timelines, and communication artifacts to align teams and track progress
  • Coordinate team efforts and resource allocation to ensure deliverables are executed on schedule and within scope
  • Foster clear, consistent communication with stakeholders at all levels, maintaining transparency throughout the project lifecycle
  • Proactively manage and resolve issues, conflicts, and changes in scope by identifying risk and driving contingency planning
  • Monitor dependencies, critical paths, and deliverables using project tracking tools and metrics
  • Lead regular stand-ups, progress reviews, and report-outs including proposals, requirement docs, and status presentations
  • Cultivate strong relationships across internal teams and external partners that contribute to long-term success
  • Motivate team members to take ownership and accountability for assigned tasks

Qualifications

  • 4+ years of proven experience in project management, ideally within the technology or enterprise operations sector
  • Strong proficiency with project management software and collaboration tools
  • Demonstrated success managing shifting priorities, complex timelines, and cross-functional coordination
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to read communication styles across diverse teams
  • Persuasive, solution-oriented, and able to navigate ambiguity with confidence
  • Strong verbal and written communication, with the ability to tailor messaging across audiences
  • Quick to adapt and learn new systems, technologies, and organizational processes
  • Customer-first mindset with strong problem-solving capabilities
  • Skilled at prioritizing and executing tasks under high-pressure conditions

Must-Have Skills

  • Strong PM fundamentals—track tasks, lead stand-ups, and maintain momentum
  • Excellent cross-functional collaboration and stakeholder management
  • Clear, strategic communication across teams and leadership

Preferred Skills

  • Prior experience supporting technical programs or enterprise systems
  • Familiarity with compensation, HR processes, or operational change cycles

Location: Menlo Park, CA (Onsite)

Role type: Contract 7 Month Position 

Expected hours: 40 per week

Schedule:

  • 8 hour shift
  • Monday to Friday (Extended schedule as needed Saturday-Sunday)
