API Technical Writer V
Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Technical Writer to join our team and produce high-quality documentation, code samples, and tutorials for developers building immersive experiences on our platform. This role will focus on creating clear, engaging, and technically accurate content that empowers creators to leverage our tools and APIs effectively.
Responsibilities:

Create and maintain accurate, concise, and engaging technical documentation, including API references, guides, and tutorials

Develop code samples and examples that demonstrate best practices for building immersive experiences

Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, product, and design, to ensure documentation is accurate and up to date

Conduct research and interviews to gather information and create content that meets the needs of the developer audience

Work independently to manage multiple projects and deadlines with minimal supervision

Continuously improve and refine documentation based on feedback from internal stakeholders and external users
Must-Have Qualifications:

5+ years of experience writing for a developer audience, with a focus on technical documentation and code samples

Familiarity with JavaScript or TypeScript

Experience with version control systems

Strong technical writing and communication skills, with the ability to distill complex concepts into clear and concise language

Ability to work independently and escalate issues where needed
Nice-to-Have Qualifications:

Experience with 3D or AR/VR gaming, and a preference for experience with technical writing for platforms

Experience working on large-scale technical documentation projects

Knowledge of media production and instructional design principles, with experience creating interactive tutorials and guides
Location: Remote (PST Preferred)
Role type: Contract 4+ Month Position
Expected hours: 40 per week
