Project Manager – Technical Writing & Security Operations

Remote (West Coast)

Summary:

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Project Manager to support a premier global client in the consumer electronics and technology space. This role operates at the intersection of product security, customer success, research science, and security consulting. The ideal candidate will bring strong technical writing capabilities, project management expertise, and a collaborative mindset to drive operational excellence and cross-functional alignment in a fast-paced, innovation-driven environment.

Candidates should possess exceptional communication skills, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to manage complex documentation and stakeholder relationships. While prior experience in security is beneficial, it is not required—what matters most is a passion for technology and a commitment to continuous improvement.

Core Responsibilities

Stakeholder & Operations Management

  • Triage stakeholder requests promptly, ensuring initial response within 30 minutes and actionable follow-up within 48 business hours
  • Maintain and update documentation including work instructions, standards, and policies to reflect evolving best practices
  • Conduct initial risk assessments for third-party vendors and provide strategic recommendations to stakeholders

Project Documentation & Editorial Leadership

  • Own the creation, management, and timely delivery of project documentation
  • Design and refine document templates and presentation decks using Google Suite tools
  • Coordinate input from global Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to ensure accuracy and completeness
  • Organize and archive documentation in secure repositories
  • Compile analytical reports for weekly, monthly, and quarterly reviews of security gaps and mitigation strategies
  • Ensure clarity, structure, and precision in all written materials, including executive-level presentations
  • Collaborate with SMEs to ensure technical accuracy and audience-appropriate messaging

Technical Research, Analysis & Knowledge Enablement

  • Analyze technical R&D initiatives to identify confidentiality and security risks, translating findings into actionable recommendations
  • Foster cross-team collaboration to promote knowledge sharing and operational alignment
  • Develop internal training materials, documentation, and curricula tailored to diverse audiences

Strategic Communications & Meeting Management

  • Facilitate and support key meetings including Business Updates, Roundtables, and Weekly Team Sessions
  • Represent the team in cross-functional meetings, capturing and communicating key actions and deliverables
  • Prepare and deliver concise, well-structured reports and presentations for senior leadership

Process Optimization & Standardization

  • Lead updates and publication of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Work Instructions, and Best Practices
  • Ensure accuracy and consistency across internal standards, guidelines, trackers, and policy documentation

Program Management & Performance Tracking

  • Collaborate with leadership to define and implement short- and long-term program goals
  • Establish and monitor Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to ensure alignment with strategic objectives

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree in business, science, history, political science, or related field preferred
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in project management, technical writing, or a related discipline
  • Demonstrated expertise in technical, business, or procedural writing with a portfolio of impactful deliverables
  • Strong interest in consumer electronics, emerging technologies, and immersive ecosystems (VR/AR/MR)
  • Experience in customer success or stakeholder engagement within matrixed organizations
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively across distributed, multicultural teams
  • Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail; adept at managing competing priorities
  • Familiarity with Reality Labs or similar advanced technology environments is a plus
  • PMP certification preferred but not required
  • Proven ability to manage multiple concurrent projects and adapt to evolving requirements with minimal oversight

Location: Remote (PST Preferred)

Role type: Contract 12 Month Position 

Expected hours: 40 per week
