Public Policy Manager IV

We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven National Security Policy & Partnerships Manager to lead initiatives at the intersection of technology, defense, and national security. This role is ideal for a professional with deep expertise in public sector enablement, policy engagement, and defense-related partnerships. The position requires strong judgment, excellent communication skills, and the ability to build consensus across government, private sector, and internal stakeholders.

You will act as a subject matter expert (SME), engaging with the Department of Defense (DoD), the Intelligence Community, and private-sector partners. The role focuses on navigating complex policy and compliance challenges, enabling adoption of innovative technologies, and supporting strategic partnerships that directly impact national security operations and outcomes.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Build and deepen relationships with stakeholders across the defense and national security space, including U.S. government agencies, private-sector partners, and trade associations.

  • Identify, monitor, and analyze defense and national security-related issues at the federal level.

  • Draft written communications, briefing papers, and internal strategy documents to articulate policy positions and guide decision-making.

  • Provide advice to cross-functional teams on defense and national security matters to inform product, service, and policy development.

  • Represent the organization in meetings with U.S. government officials, contractors, and other relevant stakeholders.

  • Support public sector enablement efforts, ensuring government partners can adopt and operationalize technology effectively.


Minimum Qualifications:

  • 8+ years of relevant experience, including at least 2+ years in the Federal Executive Branch (civilian, military, or contractor role).

  • Strong background in defense, national security, and emerging technology issues.

  • Demonstrated experience in public sector enablement or acquisition support.

  • Proven ability to engage with policymakers, government stakeholders, and private-sector partners.

  • Bachelor’s degree in national security, policy, technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Existing U.S. Government security clearance.

  • Direct experience working within the Department of Defense (DoD).

  • Advanced degree in a policy or technology-related field.

  • Strong networking and briefing skills, with the ability to represent organizational interests to senior government officials.

  • Experience advising on technical issues related to emerging technologies.

Location: Remote 

Role type: Contract 12 Month Position 

Expected hours: 40 per week
