About the Role

We are seeking a UX Researcher to join the Creation team, where you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of generative AI (GENAI) experiences on a leading social platform. Your research will be foundational to the team’s success, driving the discovery of latent user needs, informing product strategy, and enabling rapid iteration and market readiness for GENAI-powered features.

Key Responsibilities

  • Partner with researchers, designers, product managers, and engineers to identify, define, and deliver impactful products for GENAI initiatives.
  • Develop and execute comprehensive research roadmaps that align with product goals and timelines, working both independently and collaboratively.
  • Lead and manage research studies across all phases of the product development cycle, from scoping needs and designing plans to conducting studies and synthesizing actionable insights.
  • Influence product strategy, execution, and go-to-market planning by providing data-driven insights that guide the development and refinement of GENAI features.
  • Oversee and coordinate with external research vendors to expand team capabilities and ensure high-quality research outcomes.
  • Facilitate rapid feedback loops on GENAI prototypes, enabling quick iteration and effective decision-making based on user insights.

Must-Have Skills

  • Proven track record of successful research execution within large-scale product ecosystems.
  • Demonstrated ability to independently lead research projects from inception to completion, including scoping, planning, execution, and insight delivery.
  • Strong ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams, driving alignment and momentum across disciplines.
  • Extensive experience designing and executing qualitative research studies, with the ability to leverage data to support hypotheses and product decisions.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to distill complex findings into clear, compelling narratives for diverse audiences.
  • Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and balance competing priorities with sound judgment.

Nice-to-Have Skills

  • Experience working with AI technologies, particularly in the context of product research or development.
  • Expertise in advanced quantitative research methodologies and analytics.

Location: Remote (NYC strongly preferred)

Role type: Contract - 6 Month Position

Expected hours: 40 per week
