Senior Visual Designer IV

Overview

The Graphic Designer is responsible for developing high‑quality visual concepts, designs, and layouts that align with established design principles and project objectives. This role requires a high level of creativity, strong communication skills, and the ability to translate ideas into compelling visual solutions for both internal and external stakeholders. Success in this position requires adaptability, the ability to manage multiple priorities, and comfort working under tight deadlines.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan, analyze, and create visual solutions that address communication and design challenges
  • Develop overall layout and production design for digital and print materials, including publications and web interfaces
  • Prepare preliminary sketches, wireframes, and layout concepts for client and stakeholder presentations
  • Produce charts, graphs, and other visual assets using provided data
  • Participate in product testing and design evaluation sessions to refine visual elements and user interactions

Required Skills

  • Strong creativity, visual problem‑solving ability, and attention to detail
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate design decisions
  • Proficiency across multiple media formats, including print, digital, and basic motion or film concepts
  • Ability to visualize and interpret both 2D and 3D design elements
  • Experience using professional design and layout software, including Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, etc.)

Education & Experience

  • Minimum of 8 years of professional design experience
  • Associate’s degree in Design or a certificate in Graphic Design required
  • Bachelor’s degree in Design or a related field strongly preferred

Must‑Have Skills

  • Creativity and strong conceptual thinking
  • Advanced proficiency in Adobe publishing and graphics tools
  • Effective communication and stakeholder management

Nice‑to‑Have Skills

  • Experience with 2D and 3D visualization
  • Familiarity with print, electronic, and film media
  • Bachelor’s degree in a design‑related field

Day‑to‑Day Responsibilities

  • Develop visual assets and communication materials across digital and print channels
  • Design layouts for publications, presentations, and web‑based interfaces
  • Create sketches, mockups, and prototypes for review
  • Build charts, graphs, and data‑driven visuals
  • Participate in design reviews, product testing, and cross‑functional evaluation meetings

Project Focus

Designers in this role may support advanced hardware and wearable technology initiatives, contributing to the visual design, feature exploration, and interaction concepts for next‑generation display and consumer devices.

Preferred Industry Background

Candidates with experience in consumer hardware, software, or immersive technology environments are highly valued.

You will join a collaborative, multidisciplinary design team dedicated to delivering innovative visual solutions. The team works closely with cross‑functional partners to support communication goals, product development, and user experience initiatives.

Location: Seattle, WA (Onsite)

Role type: Contract 4 Month Position 

Expected hours: 40 per week
