Software Engineer (Senior, Ruby-on-Rails)

The project has been running for over 9 years and focuses on developing an internal platform for underwriting. The company provides financing services to small businesses in the United States.
The primary responsibility for this role is maintaining and enhancing a Ruby on Rails application. You'll be working as part of a full-stack team that includes both backend and frontend developers. New features on the frontend are built using React.
There are multiple teams involved in different parts of the business process, so occasional cross-team collaboration will be required.

Requirements:

• 5+ years of experience as a Software Engineer
• Proven experience with Ruby on Rails in production environments
• Solid understanding of relational and non-relational databases
• Experience with AWS cloud infrastructure and services
• Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive mindset

Nice-to-Have:

• Previous experience in the fintech domain
• Proficiency in Golang or Python — one of these is a strong plus
• Basic experience with automated testing 
• Basic understanding of DevOps practices and tools
• Familiarity with microservices architecture and event-driven systems
