About the Opportunity:
LINK is looking for a Senior Design Strategist, Facilitator to join our dynamic team, where we build strong partnerships and manage a diverse portfolio of clients across various industries. In the Senior Design Strategist, Facilitator role, you will collaborate with stakeholders to plan and facilitate problem-solving workshops, partner with peers and key collaborators to define critical challenges, and lead multi-day engagements that bring teams together to address complex issues. You will apply design thinking and creativity to guide workshop activities and translate outcomes into clear, actionable reports.
This position offers an exciting opportunity for an experienced professional to apply both creative and strategic expertise to support LINK’s business growth and deliver high-quality, human-centered design solutions. The ideal candidate has significant experience in facilitation, workshop leadership, and synthesizing workshop results into actionable insights.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Design, Communication, Sociology/Psychology, or related fields
- 10+ years of experience in design strategy or related roles, with a strong background in leading and facilitating workshops for diverse stakeholders.
- Ability and experience in organizing, planning, and facilitating multi-day workshops and events that bring teams together to solve complex challenges.
- Proven track record of guiding teams through complex problem-solving processes using design thinking and other creative methods.
- Extensive experience curating workshop outcomes and translating them into actionable reports and insights.
- Expertise in design thinking methodologies, creative facilitation, and strategic problem-solving techniques.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels, from peers to senior leaders.
- A proactive and adaptable mindset with a strong focus on achieving results.
- Strong problem-solving skills, with a passion for creating innovative and human-centered solutions.
- Government contracting experience
- Security clearance as required by contracts
Key Responsibilities
Facilitation & Strategy
- Plan and facilitate problem-solving workshops using design thinking methods and creative facilitation techniques.
- Lead multi-day collaborative sessions, client meetings, and visioning discussions that shape project direction.
- Partner with peers and government stakeholders to frame strategic problems and ensure alignment across teams.
- Capture and document client missions, visions, goals, and KPIs/OKRs to maintain strategic clarity.
Research & Synthesis
- Conduct primary and secondary research with high journalistic standards.
- Analyze and synthesize quantitative and qualitative data to uncover key issues and define problem spaces.
- Curate workshop findings into clear, actionable reports that inform decision-making.
Design Collaboration
- Lead and support visual prototyping to explore and communicate solution concepts.
- Collaborate with designers to produce data-driven infographics, diagrams, presentations, and other visual deliverables.
Client & Project Management
- Build and maintain strong, trust-based client relationships.
- Work iteratively by seeking and incorporating feedback to improve solutions.
- Manage project timelines and balance workloads to ensure successful, on-time delivery.
Work Schedule:
- Full time, 40 hours per week
- Travel required to meet with prospects/clients, attend relevant events and conferences, and participate in LINK team events
Salary
We're committed to offering competitive compensation. While the salary range for this position is $112,000 - $151,000 for Washington D.C. based candidates, your final offer will be determined by a number of factors like skill level, years of experience, relevant experience, education level, etc.
