The Role(Contract, 4–6 Months):

This is a contract role for ~ 4 to 6 months to start. While there may be opportunities to extend depending on business needs, this role is scoped specifically for near-term product delivery. We are looking for someone who can commit themselves to 35-40 hours a week with Linus.

This Contract Senior Product Designer will support near-term product initiatives, with an initial focus on refining our consumer-facing experiences for patients and research participants. This is an execution-forward role suited for a highly skilled designer who is comfortable working in ambiguity, collaborating closely with Product and Engineering, and delivering high-quality work under shifting priorities.

What You'll Do:

  • Design and refine user experiences for consumer-facing healthcare products, including responsive web and mobile experiences
  • Translate loosely defined requirements and problem statements into clear, thoughtful design solutions that drive discussion and decision making
  • Work within an established design system to efficiently define screens and flows, with opportunities to thoughtfully extend the system when needed
  • Partner closely with Product Management to shape what features and improvements go into upcoming releases
  • Collaborate with Engineering using tools such as Jira and Confluence to support delivery and iteration
  • Create prototypes to support usability testing, stakeholder alignment, and research activities
  • Plan and conduct user experience research, both generative and evaluative, leveraging existing participant databases and research processes
  • Balance quality, speed, and adaptability as priorities shift to meet business needs and timelines
  • Float across multiple projects as needed, focusing on the most pressing work for the business

About You:

Must Have's:

  • Senior-level product design experience, ideally within startup or fast-paced product environments
  • Mastery of Figma, including working efficiently within established design systems
  • Strong comfort operating in ambiguous problem spaces and using design to clarify direction
  • Experience designing responsive web and mobile products
  • Solid understanding of cross-functional collaboration with Product and Engineering partners
  • Familiarity with product development tools such as Jira and Confluence
  • Experience conducting user research, including crafting prototypes, running sessions, and synthesizing insights
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a small design team or in close partnership with one other designer
  • Comfort shifting priorities and adapting focus to deliver the highest business value

Nice To Have's:

  • Experience working on complex healthcare or regulated products
  • Familiarity with extending or evolving design systems
  • Thoughtful use of AI tools to optimize design workflows, ideation, or productivity, with appropriate consideration for privacy and compliance
  • Prior experience supporting products used by patients, caregivers, or research participants
