Job Description
- Conduct a wide variety of financial and economic analyses to be presented to Chief Executive Officers, Chief Financial Officers, Corporate Development departments and Boards of clients and prospective clients.
- Conduct financial and economic research and analyse related data for the formulation of strategic and transaction related advice, particularly regarding mergers and acquisitions opportunities.
- Assist with creating information materials that clients can utilise to raise capital. Study financial and economic data and perform financial and economic analyses of companies undergoing mergers and acquisitions or other transformative transactions.
- Develop an understanding of industry, market and macro-economic trends impacting various sectors. Utilize financial and economic modelling techniques and spreadsheet analysis to prepare historical and projected financial statements and analyses.
- Gain in-depth knowledge of financing related analysis and materials relevant for mergers and acquisitions of companies.
- Apply financial and economic models to create comparable company analyses and comparable acquisitions analyses.
- Study historical financial and economic and industry trends and create analysis for Board of Directors of clients to advise on various situations such as defence, acquisition, or capital raises.
- Monitor the effects of changes within the technology, media and telecommunications sector in order to make investment and other transaction recommendations.
- Conduct financial and economic analyses on the possible financial consequences of mergers and acquisitions.
- Study financial and economic data in order to perform analyses which include financial modelling, competitive analyses, and industry research.
Personal Attributes and Competencies
- Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Finance, Business Administration, Economics, Management, or a related field
- Minimum 3 years of M&A experience, preferably in TMT sectors, at investment banks, boutiques, or Big 4 advisory firms
- Proficiency in advanced financial modelling, including DCF, LBO, merger models, and sensitivity/scenario analysis
- Expertise in valuation methodologies such as comparable company analysis, precedent transactions, and sum-of-the-parts valuation
- Strong understanding of M&A processes, including due diligence, deal structuring, and regulatory considerations
- Familiarity with transaction documentation (e.g., NDAs) and ability to support negotiations
- Advanced knowledge of Excel, PowerPoint, and financial databases (e.g., Bloomberg, FactSet)
- In-depth understanding of the TMT sector, including key trends, market drivers, and competitive landscapes
- Excellent leadership, interpersonal and communication skills
- Strong teamwork and collaboration skills

- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
