Midwest Territory: ND, SD, MN, E, KS, IA, MO, WI, IL, IN, MI, OH, KY, TN

**Due to frequent travel requirements, candidates must be located within a 30-minute drive of a major metropolitan airport

 

Reports To: Vice President, DSD & Distribution 

Travel Requirement: up to 75% field based travel required 

Direct Reports: a team of 10 to 15 comprised of Regional Distributor Managers, Sales Execution Managers, Field Sales Representatives

About the Role:

As General Manager of Field Sales, you’ll own regional field sales performance and execution. You’ll lead and develop a multi-layer field team—including Regional Distributor Managers (RDMs), Sales Execution Managers (SEMs), and Field Sales Reps (FSRs)—to accelerate sales volume, revenue growth, and best-in-class in-market execution.

This is a highly cross-functional role that partners closely with the Liquid Death Marketing team, National Account Sales team, Sales Operations team, Finance team, and Supply Chain team to translate growth strategy into measurable results in the field.

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Develop and implement sales and go-to-market strategies to achieve revenue targets and expand market share within the Division and works closely with distributor management leadership to drive Liquid Death brand performance in all accounts
  • Lead, mentor and motivate high-performing sales team, providing guidance to drive individual achievement and team success
  • Responsible for developing and managing volume and financial forecasts, and managing sales P&L and budgets
  • Develops annual and trimester business plans and offers strategic insights and direction for the development of channels, customer/distributors, and regional sales strategies
  • Builds strong relationships with key constituents at distributors across the Division 
  • Ability to directly manage a small amount of Key Account call points. Identify opportunities, build a plan and execute with the distributor network
  • Lead, coach, and grow a team of RDMs, SEMs, and FSRs
  • Establish a performance culture with rigorous KPI tracking, field routines, and accountability to drive results 
  • Partner with distributors to win distribution, maximize velocity, brand visibility, building brand ambassadors at the DP level, and improve execution levels.
  • Deepen distributor relationships through clear expectations, incentives, and joint business planning

Qualifications Requirements: 

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or related field preferred 
  • 8+ years of relatable field sales leadership experience in the beverage industry with a proven track record leading multi-tier field sales teams to drive sales volume and revenue growth 
  • Strong distributor management background across multiple regions (firm requirement) 
  • Proficiency in sales planning, forecasting, budgeting, and leveraging sales data required 
  • Key account management experience preferred 
  • Expertise driving distribution, velocity, merchandising, and promotional execution
  • Experience thriving in high-growth, high-change environments preferred 
  • Execution fanatic: You’re obsessed with what happens in-store, not just in decks
  • People-first leader: You coach hard, care deeply, and attract winners
  • High ownership mentality with a passion to win: You run toward problems and don’t wait for permission
  • Previous sales platform reporting experience, VIP preferred
  • Proficient in Excel (data entry, basic report generation) and PowerPoint 
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint) and Google Suite (Sheets, Docs, Slides)
  • Must possess a valid driver license and have a clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) with no major violations required
  • Willingness to travel extensively up to 75% and spend real time in-market (firm requirement)
    • On average 3 weeks per month / 3-4 days per week depending on business need to meet with distributor leadership and provide leadership to the Liquid Death field sales team
    • Due to frequent travel requirements, candidates must be located within a 30-minute drive of a major metropolitan airport



Physical Requirement:

  • Ability to lift up to 25lbs. to lift product cases and event supplies

 

The typical salary range for this position is: $150,000 - $180,000

 

The actual salary offer will take into account multiple factors including skills, experience, education and location. Please note that the salary details listed in role postings reflect the base salary only, not total compensation, which includes equity and benefits.
