About the role:
The Director of Organizational Effectiveness will serve in a key leadership role for advancing organizational performance and strengthening leadership and culture across the enterprise. This newly created role will be critical in aligning business goals with people strategies to drive change and transformation, as well as building capabilities throughout all levels of the organization.
The role reports into the Chief People & Culture Officer. At the moment, it would not have any direct reports, but will have a significant sphere of influence and need to collaborate within the People & Culture function.
This role will be responsible for building and executing our talent management approach – including performance, goal setting, functional and enterprise talent reviews and succession – to support an organization undergoing continued hyper-growth. This leader will play a critical role reading the organization for the future, helping to build new leadership and organizational capabilities.
The ideal candidate should have the following critical capabilities:
- systems thinker and builder, with a proven track record of accurately diagnosing organizational dynamics and solutions;
- designer of integrated programs and interventions, connecting them to overarching company strategies and improvement in engagement surveys;
- organizational design;
- change management to lead the organization and teams through change; and
- cross-functional acumen with senior leaders, peers, and within the People & Culture team.
Functions and duties of this role include, but not limited to:
The Organizational Effectiveness Director will lead:
- learning, training, and coaching programs with key external partners;
- talent management program, which is in a test-to-scale build as we build enterprise proficiency around how to manage talent with a focus on growth and development and identify critical capabilities to ensure our marketplace leadership;
- our performance management program (with strong collaboration with cross-functional and People & Culture leaders);
- organizational change management, ensuring that growth is perceived to be positive; and
- other major organizational effectiveness programs.
Additionally, the director may be asked to design interventions for specific teams and leaders with input and deployment support from the People & Culture business partners.
Among some of the key capabilities include:
- Change management: help lead our organization through growth and change, and translate enterprise strategy into leadership and team behaviors
- Leadership capability design: design and deploy leadership frameworks, infrastructure and tools that are fit-for-purpose
- Influencing cross functionally: interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to navigate matrixed environments and enable change without direct ownership of all initiatives
- Talent and performance management: deep understanding of performance management systems that promote accountability, coaching and continuous feedback
Qualifications:
- 12+ years of experience in OD/OE
- CPG strongly preferred
- Bachelor’s degree required;
- MBA or advanced degree in organizational development, leadership, human resources or related field preferred
- Proven leadership of cross-functional culture and transformation
- Proficiency with building executive ready level decks via PPT or other presentation modes
- Strong interpersonal skills to build healthy, collaborative, and trusting relationships across the company
- Deep executive presence with excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Work Environment:
- This role is hybrid office environment preferred; remote with travel to HQ (El Segundo) once a month may be required.

The compensation band for this position is $147,600 - $221,400 annually. The exact salary is determined by various factors including experience, skills, education, geographic location, internal company equity, and budget. The listed range is applicable only to the annual base salary and does not include additional perks, benefits, or applicable bonus eligibility comprising the total compensation package.
