Job Title: AMHP
Location: Bury Metropolitan Borough Council
Rate: Up to £40 per hour
An exciting job role has recently become available at the Bury Metropolitan Borough Council. They are looking for an AMHP.
What will your responsibilities be?
In this role, you will provide a dedicated AMHP response during daytime working hours, supported by backup and contingency rotas. You will ensure referrals are managed within AMHP rota resources, completing multiple assessments when necessary. You will maintain professional standards through ongoing development, training, and regular supervision. You will promote and adhere to principles set out in the Mental Health Act and relevant legislation. Acting as an AMHP on behalf of Bury Council, you will respond to referrals, conduct assessments, and coordinate with professionals. You will ensure accurate documentation, maintain records, and complete AMHP reports. Additionally, you will liaise with partner agencies, contribute to forums, and provide input on policy development.

Qualifications and Experiences:
To be successful in this role you must be an approved AMHP and registered with social work England, and have post-qualified experience.
