Head of Service - Safeguarding & QA
Liquid Personnel are currently recruiting for a Head of Service for Safeguarding & QA to join Medway’s Children services.

Medway Council is seeking a dynamic Head of Safeguarding and Quality Assurance to lead strategic development and drive excellence in social work practice across our Children’s Services division.

As a key member of the Children’s Services Management Team, you will:
- Lead the Safeguarding and QA Team, ensuring high-quality, impactful services.
- Champion continuous improvement and innovation in social work and early help.
- Collaborate with partners, stakeholders, and families to shape service delivery.
- Oversee budgets and ensure services are delivered safely and efficiently.
- Provide strategic insight and challenge to improve practice and outcomes.
What we are looking for in a Head of Service:
- You will hold a recognised Social Work qualification eg. Degree in Social Work, PGC in Social Work, CQSW, DipSW or equivalent.
- Be registered with Social Work England.
- NVQ level 5 in Management or equivalent management qualification.
- Extensive management experience including the management of change.
- Experience in successfully planning for and contributing to the Ofsted inspection process.
