Job Description:

Liquid Personnel is recruiting an experienced Supervising Social Worker to join our client’s Long-Term Team in Newcastle.
This is a rewarding opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the lives of children, young people, and their families. You will provide high-quality support and supervision to foster carers, helping to ensure the best possible outcomes for children in care.

In this role, you’ll manage a small caseload, meet statutory responsibilities, and work collaboratively with carers and professionals in a supportive environment. The position offers flexible working arrangements and regular supervision to support your professional development.

What will your responsibilities be?

• Provide supervision and support to foster carers, ensuring compliance with fostering regulations.
• Undertake assessments, reviews, and care planning for children in foster placements.
• Deliver statutory social work services in line with legislation and council procedures.
• Liaise with partner agencies to coordinate support for children and carers.
• Maintain accurate case records and reports to professional standards.
• Participate in reflective supervision and contribute to service development.

Qualifications & Experience:

To be successful in this role you must have, 

• Social Work England registration
• Eligible to work in the UK
• Full UK driving licence
• Degree in Social Work (or equivalent)
• Post-qualified experience in fostering or children’s services
