Specialist Occupational Therapist – Children’s Social Care
Liquid Personnel is seeking an experienced and dedicated Specialist Occupational Therapist to deliver high‑quality assessments and interventions for children and young people with significant physical, cognitive, or sensory impairments.
You will play a vital role within Children’s Social Care, ensuring that every child you work with receives tailored, meaningful support that promotes independence, safety, and wellbeing. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a real impact for Brent’s children and families.
What will your responsibilities be?
- Deliver specialist Occupational Therapy assessments in line with legislation and Brent’s eligibility criteria.
- Provide social care interventions for children with complex needs.
- Develop personalised plans to promote independence, including:
- Equipment and assistive technology
- Home adaptations
- Specialist seating
- Manual handling plans
- Environmental assessments
- Support the child’s learning, development, play, social participation, and inclusion.
- Assess the needs of carers and ensure eligible support is identified and provided.
- Work collaboratively with families, carers, schools, health partners, and social care colleagues to deliver a coordinated, child‑centred service.

Qualifications & Experience:
- HCPC‑registered Occupational Therapist
- Strong experience working with children with disabilities in a Social Care setting
- Excellent assessment and clinical reasoning skills
- Strong communication and multi‑agency working capabilities
- Commitment to child‑centred, strengths‑based practice
Working Arrangements:
This role is offered on a hybrid basis, with a set number of days each week required in the office at 32 Engineers Way, Wembley.
This gives a balance of collaborative team working, home‑based focus time, and direct intervention.
