Adult Social Worker - Duty Team

Liquid Personnel is recruiting an Adult Social Worker to join its client’s Duty team, based in Devon.

What will your responsibilities be? 

This role will be focused on covering the duty service across Crediton, Okehampton and Moreton Hampstead. There is some flexibility but you will need to be able to cover the core service hours as much as possible, especially between 9am and 5pm, although there is some flexibility.

3 days office, 2 days home 

You will:

• Undertake Care Act assessments and reviews
  
• Support MCA‑compliant decision‑making
  
• Safeguard adults at risk of abuse or neglect
  
• Work in a strengths‑based, person‑centred way
  
• Build strong partnerships with individuals, families, providers and health professionals to promote independence and safe living within the community

You’ll be part of a friendly, experienced and integrated team where reflective practice, collaboration and good social work are genuinely valued. 

Qualifications and Experience: 

To be successful in this role you must have;  

• Professional Qualification: A recognised professional qualification in social work, such as an MA, BA, BSc in Social Work, Diploma in Social Work, or CQSW (Certificate of Qualification in Social Work).
• Registration: Must be registered with Social Work England, the regulatory body for social workers in England.
• Experience: 2+ years post qualified experience as an adult social worker in a statutory setting. 
• Knowledge of Legislation: Thorough understanding of relevant legislation, such as the Care Act 2014 and the Mental Capacity Act 2005.
• Skills: Strong assessment and analysis skills, as well as the ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
• Driving Licence: A full UK driving licence and access to a car are often required for client visits.
