Social Worker – Duty and Assessment
Liquid Personnel is recruiting Social Worker for its client's Duty and Assessment Team at Lancashire.
We are seeking a dedicated Children’s Social Worker to join various teams across Lancashire. This role focuses on achieving the best outcomes for children and young people by keeping them safe, protected from harm, and providing the right support at the right time.
What will your responsibilities be?
- Manage an allocated social work caseload, including child protection and court work.
- Undertake assessments in accordance with legislation and the Framework for Assessment to inform analysis and plans.
- Prepare for and participate in planned work relating to court and court orders within appropriate timescales.
- Identify children in need of protection and effectively safeguard them.
- Determine appropriate levels of intervention and commission packages of support for families.
- Ensure the needs, wishes, and participation of children are central to the assessment and planning process.
- Share responsibility for planned interventions with partners and participate in formal case reviews and statutory meetings.
- Maintain up-to-date records in compliance with administrative and financial procedures.
- Participate in the team’s duty rota and the CAF process.

Qualifications & Experience:
To be successful in this role you must have,
- Social Work England registration.
- CQSW, DipSW, Degree in Social Work or an equivalent recognised qualification.
- Experience in social work specifically with children and families.
- A full UK driving licence and a car available for business use (essential car user post).
- Knowledge of child development and relevant legislation.
- Skills in assessment and working effectively with children and families in complex circumstances.
- Ability to value diversity and work across different cultures and religions
