Adults Social Worker – Community & Neighbourhood
Liquid Personnel is recruiting Adult Social Workers to join its client’s Community & Neighbourhood team, based in Bolton, Greater Manchester.
As an Adults Social Worker, you will work alongside multi‑disciplinary colleagues to deliver a joined‑up, strengths‑based approach to supporting individuals within local neighbourhoods across Bolton.
You will be responsible for undertaking strengths‑based assessments under the Care Act 2014, completing carers’ assessments, and developing and implementing comprehensive support plans. This includes supporting individuals to access universal, community, and voluntary services to promote independence and wellbeing.
A strong working knowledge of the Mental Capacity Act 2005, along with other relevant social work legislation and practice guidance, is essential. The role also involves participation in a busy duty system on a rota basis, managing referrals and providing information and advice at the point of contact.
Working Arrangements
- The role is based in Bolton, with work undertaken in individuals’ homes and other community settings.
- Hybrid working is in place, with an expectation of 3 days per week in the office.
- During the initial induction period, you will be primarily office‑based.
- Flexible working hours between 8:00am and 7:00pm, with a standard working day of approximately 7 hours.
This is a supportive and experienced team with a strong commitment to professional development and achieving positive outcomes for Bolton residents.
What will your responsibilities be?
In this role, you will:
Managing an active caseload.
Undertaking safeguarding investigations.
Continuing health care assessments and attendance at multi-agency meetings.
Multi-disciplinary working.
Qualifications & Experience:
To be successful in this role you must have:
- Professional Qualification: A recognised professional qualification in social work, such as an MA, BA, BSc in Social Work, Diploma in Social Work, or CQSW (Certificate of Qualification in Social Work).
- Registration: Must be registered with Social Work England, the regulatory body for social workers in England.
- Experience: 2+ years post qualified experience as an adult social worker in a statutory setting.
- Knowledge of Legislation: Thorough understanding of relevant legislation, such as the Care Act 2014 and the Mental Capacity Act 2005.
- Skills: Strong assessment and analysis skills, as well as the ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
- Driving Licence: A full UK driving licence and access to a car are often required for client visits.
