Occupational Therapist - Adult Social Care (Reablement Pilot)
Liquid Personnel is recruiting an Occupational Therapist to join its client’s Adult Social Care (Reablement Pilot) Team at Gloucestershire.
Our client is seeking six full‑time Occupational Therapists to join the Adult Social Care service on a 4‑month temporary contract. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a pilot reablement project, supporting adults to maintain independence and wellbeing within the community.
Contract Length: 4 months
Hours: Full‑time, 37 hours per week

What will your responsibilities be?
In this role, you will:
- Work autonomously within the Adult Social Care team, completing holistic occupational therapy assessments in people’s own homes
- Identify occupational performance challenges impacting independence and daily living
- Support individuals to prevent, reduce, and delay the impact of disability and long‑term health conditions
- Deliver reablement‑focused, strengths‑based interventions that promote wellbeing and independence
- Work collaboratively with social care colleagues to inform care needs assessments
- Build effective partnerships with individuals, voluntary services, and community organisations
- Support the Adult Helpdesk by contributing to referrals as required
This role involves county‑wide travel, therefore a clear and valid UK driving licence is essential.

- Have a working knowledge of the Care Act and its application in practice
- Are flexible and responsive within a fast‑paced service environment
Qualifications & Experience:
To be successful in this role, you must have:
- Current registration with HCPC and RCOT
- Diploma or Degree in Occupational Therapy (or equivalent qualification)
- A minimum of 18 months’ post‑qualification experience as a registered Occupational Therapist (or equivalent competency)
- Experience working in a community setting, completing assessments in people’s own homes
- Specialist training or equivalent experience in environmental adaptations
- A valid UK driving licence
