Locum Occupational Therapist

Liquid Personnel is recruiting an Occupational Therapist to join its client’s Adult Social Care directorate, based in Ipswich, on a 6‑month agency contract. This role will support proactive reviews and assessments, playing a key part in reducing OT waiting lists and improving service efficiency.

What will your responsibilities be?

In this role, you will:

• Provide safe and timely delivery of front‑line occupational therapy services across the directorate
• Proactively undertake occupational therapy reviews and assessments
• Support triage activity and reduce duplication between health and social care
• Assist with occupational therapy waiting list reduction initiatives
• Support external care providers to ensure safe and correct moving and handling practices
• Review and rationalise care packages to ensure best value and appropriate equipment use
• Review:
  • Double‑handed care packages
  • Waking night care packages
  • General care packages
• Provide mutual aid to other occupational therapy teams as required
• Complete Care Act–compliant assessments and reviews

Qualifications & Experience:

To be successful in this role, you must have:

• Degree or Diploma in Occupational Therapy
• HCPC registration
• Experience within Adult Social Care
• Full UK driving licence (essential)
• Strong moving and handling experience
