Social Worker - Adult, Care and Support Team

Liquid Personnel is recruiting Adult Social Worker for its client's Adult, Care and Support Team in Cornwall.

This is a dynamic role within Adult Social Care, requiring a confident practitioner with a strong understanding of statutory duties, safeguarding processes, and care planning.

The successful candidate will play a key role in delivering high-quality, person-centred services, supporting adults with varying levels of need while promoting independence, safety, and wellbeing within the community.

What will your responsibilities be?

  • Undertaking Care Act 2014 needs assessments and reviews in line with statutory requirements.
  • Completing and managing Safeguarding Enquiries (Section 42), ensuring timely and proportionate responses to risk.
  • Developing and implementing person-centred care and support plans.
  • Supporting individuals through community-based interventions, promoting independence and preventing escalation of need.
  • Carrying out Community DoLS work in line with legislation and best practice.
  • Managing a varied caseload, including complex and high-risk cases.
  • Working collaboratively with multi-disciplinary teams, including health professionals and partner agencies.
  • Maintaining accurate, timely, and high-quality case records in line with organisational standards.
  • Applying strong professional judgement within legal and policy frameworks.

Qualifications & Experience:

To be successful in this role you must have, 

• Professional Qualification: MA, BA, BSc in Social Work, Diploma in Social Work, or CQSW.
• Registration: Must be registered with Social Work England.

• Experience:
Strong experience within Adult Social Care.
Demonstrable experience completing Safeguarding Enquiries.
Experience undertaking Care Act assessments, care planning, and reviews.
Practical experience working with Community DoLS.
Ability to manage a complex caseload effectively.

• Knowledge:
Sound knowledge of all aspects of Adult Social Work practice.
Strong understanding of relevant legislation, including the Care Act 2014 and safeguarding responsibilities.

• Skills:
Excellent assessment and analytical skills.
Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
Ability to work independently and within a team environment.
Good organisational and time management skills.
