Social Worker - Children's Services
Liquid Personnel is recruiting Social Worker for its client's Children's Services Team at Newport.
We have opportunities available across a range of Children's Services, including CASP, Child Protection, Pre-Proceedings (PLO), Court, and Intake and Locality (long-term) teams.
What will your responsibilities be?
- Support children and families involved in:
- Child Protection Plans
- Pre-Proceedings (PLO)
- Court Proceedings
- Help to:
- Safeguard children
- Improve outcomes for children and families
- Join:
- Experienced and supportive social work teams
- Established Team Managers
- Principal Social Workers
- Professional Development:
- Regular monthly supervision
- Ongoing learning opportunities
- Continuous training and development
- Work in accordance with:
- Social Services and Well-being (Wales) Act 2014
- Wales Safeguarding Procedures
- Practice Approach:
- Strengths-based practice
- Child-focused approach
- Partnership working with families and professionals
- Focus on achieving positive and lasting outcomes for children and young people

Qualifications & Experience:
To be successful in this role you must have,
- Degree in Social Work (or equivalent recognised qualification).
- Registration with Social Care Wales.
- A minimum of three years’ experience within a Children’s Social Work setting.
- Relevant post-qualified Social Work experience.
- Full UK driving licence and access to a car.
- Right to work in the UK.
